As I said before-there is NO alternative to SISU. Not until we own our own ground and academy secure. That is going to take a long time-plus it'll put us in tons of debt. After due diligence the picture for a prospective owner could be a lot worse!

Am not sure but I bet the percentage of football clubs making a profit is less than 5%. When you don't have any revenue streams a club will always be in debt! We have to sell players (which kills me) to gain income. Honestly surprised me that Mowbray got anything at all to spend!

We know the problem. What's the immediate solution because in 2 years time we have nothing with the current 'plan' ?

Just as some on here continue to shout at the council and rarely comment on Sisu.

So as you are the forum 'owner' and have gone onto the telegraph site to argue your membership numbers, do you not feel you're in a position of creating solidarity and leadership?

What suggestions do you have Nick? What do you suggest?

We know your opinions of the council, can you explain fully your opinions of Sisu? What have they done right and what have they done wrong?

A reply giving your honest opinion of Sisu would be nice, jist for the balance of course

I haven't mentioned membership numbers have I? The only thing I can remember is when somebody said there were a lot more members than there actually are so I corrected it.

The best way is to get something all the fans can agree on which is CCFC, everybody (well most) are bothered because it is CCFC. The time people are together is on a Saturday (mostly), we score a goal and it doesn't matter if people hate x, y or z they are all together. This should be the method taken.

I don't like the fact SISU are our owners, I'd love somebody to come in to try and get the club running at break even or ideally throw loads of millions in as a gift without some sort of comeback 10 years down the line like we have seen before.

As I said on another thread, one of the major issues I have with them is their communication. Included in that is transparency and honesty with the fans. If they communicated honestly, and in a much better way I'd say so many of the issues would never have occurred (or if they did, they would have been handled in a better way).

Their customer service / interaction is absolutely dog shit, there are so many things that would make people feel included or part of the club. Things that wouldn't cost much at all, people shouldn't have to send a tweet to get listened to.

For example Italia is right about the disabled fans, it is shocking they have no easy way to do it. How hard would it be for somebody in the marketing dept to have a hotline for disabled tickets? How many wheelchair fans are there? It wouldn't be hard to have a dedicated number they can call (or even an email) where they can easily buy tickets.

The same with the ST issue, Ticketmaster are being paid to sort this. The club should be writing to the fans without them to say "sorry for the mixup, have a free beer or a pie on us at the next home game". If there are 100 kids who haven't had their ST and are sad "Sorry, get here for 1pm next week and we will show you round the ground".

If people have to go to the ticket office to pickup their season ticket, have a big box full of CCFC mugs or something like that to handover with them. It is only a mug but it is a gesture.

Don't make people go to the ticket office to pick them up (if they are in Coventry, just give a member of staff the day to drive about and deliver them by hand with a free mug to say sorry). It would cost them £50-60 in fuel expenses for a youngster to drive about. People get somebody in CCFC clothing hand delivering, it says a lot more than "come pick it up".

It is things that don't cost anything (bar ink and a stamp) that could be dealt with so much better, and if they do that properly then people wouldn't jump on them for things not ACTUALLY done.

I am not saying the club should lie and bullshit to fans, just maybe if there is a bad situation to deal with it properly and try and get the best out of it. For example Sixfields, it was a shocking situation. They weren't even running free coaches FFS. (I know, politics aside but I just mean they don't try and make shit situations any better).

Look at how Wasps managed to move a club 90 miles with no backlash at all, and get people so against moving clubs onside with them...

Now, there is a huge PR assault on them (not saying they dont do PR as they do) and I can see it happening rather than jumping on it.

I am not in a position to do anything, I am just a normal person who has setup a website. I have no contacts and I have no "links", and I am more than happy for it to stay that way (apart from SBITC, who I am more than happy to promote as much as possible).

Will add more to this through the day in between doing things!

Edit 1: If people if received gestures and saw it, they wouldn't be so quick to be angry about things, they wouldn't be so quick to want to spread a rumour against them. I am only using Ticketmaster and the ST farce as an example above about how they could have handled it so much better and make something good out of a bad situation.

Edit 2: Whilst I don't want to make out that any section of fans are "more important", the OAPS and disabled fans need to be looked after more. I have banged on loads of times about picking up some old boys from care homes around the city to go to games, it would make their day. This in turn makes their families happy, their grandkids / great grandkids might want to go along with them and it might get them hooked.

Edit 3: They should have accounts on sites like this, simply just so if somebody says "I have an issue with a ticket" they see it, jump on it and resolve it. It could even just be sending a PM saying "I can see you have an issue with your disabled ticket, can you let me know your number and I will call you now?". Places like this are channels of support they should be tapping into. I don't mean them coming on to answer things like "wheres the money gone", but the actual customer service issues.

They don't help themselves, even if it is no fault of their own with things there is nothing that shows as a gesture to try and at least make things slightly better.

So what is the CCFC plan we should get behind?
What do we need to get All parties to discuss?
Do we need to force them to discuss a long term deal at the Ricoh or are we imminent on this new stadium the EFL have Been told is the plan?
Are CCFC serious about the academy as they don't seem to be pushing it or telling us what stops them staying ?
To be honest I have not got a clue what the plan is.
CCFC should be up front leading the charge but I don't see them.

I haven't once said we should get behind a "plan". We should get behind the team.

I am not saying we should all go to a game and say "SISU we love you, we really want you here". I am saying we should be saying "It is CCFC we are bothered about".

While people aren't arsed, it gives everybody free reign. Would people try to take the piss so much out of CCFC (all parties included) if there were 20k fans there every week?

Again, this comes back to communication doesn't it?

It's like pulling teeth with you Nick.
I'm not saying they force them to do anything. I'm saying by demanding they follow the rules it will force CCFC to come up with a plan to achieve them.
I'm suggesting 5 years rolling deal at the Ricoh would be a fair compromise as it is really the only option and allows the club to build a stadium and give notice.
Sisu would also need to think seriously about the court cases in respect of achieving the EFL rule.

The irony of your first line is incredible. I sincerely believe your post can be summed up in two words, Point (and) Missed.

Nick is rightly pointing out that neither the FL or anyone can force Wasps to give us a contract at the Ricoh, whether SISU want it or not. You blithely keep banging on that this is what the club should do when this isn't on the table, there is no evidence it will ever be, and apart from your posts has never been mentioned before. You are a businessman, work it out.

But it's a chicken and egg situation.
The only thing that will bring those numbers back is performance on the pitch.
We can argue all day on the amount of blame Sisu should take for that.

So if people are going to sit at home and act all upset if CCFC move or our academy closes how does it look if people are only arsed when we are winning?

"ah, there are only 7000 people rocking up, it isnt as bad if ccfc move 15 miles away, nobody cares about them"
"shit, theres a full house every week, it is going to be a lot more difficult if ccfc move"

The fact that actual CCFC fans won't have a bad word said about the council or Wasps is an example of just how easy they have it.

All I can say is that it's in Sisu's hands to drive this process.
The others have told them the sticking points which all boils down to the fruitless court battles on behalf of SISU but not CCFC or its fans.

That's the Reality of the situation unfortunately.
I would even say the majority at home are not upset or even that bothered.
I guess some would only see are academy players being sold off and loads of loan players in the team, so the academy would be off the radar.
Years of club decline will only be overturned by a long sustained run of success.

The ones like "bring us back to Coventry" and then went for 1 game... (we actually won it as well).

No other fans would allow what has gone on whether they liked SISU or not. They certainly wouldn't be on their fans forums etc justifying Wasps taking over.

Nobody is waiting to see if they help.

I go to the games on matchdays to support the team I have supported since birth, I don't go to courtrooms to support court battles.

So Wasps are not waiting for JR1 to finish before they negotiate the outstanding 17 points ?
So Wasps and CSF don't think they could help CCFC academy but are waiting for CA to attend a meeting while he waits for a letter?

...... and I'm confused ?

Strange, Sport England also haven't had any details about the academy that they have asked for?

JR1 is nothing to do with Wasps is it? Why did they start talks if they knew about the legals anyway?

It is bullshit, that's why.

How have you made the leap from the league saying we are looking for a long-term solution, with no mention of building a new ground, to stating that they believe we are building a new stadium?

Let's follow that through to its conclusion then. The FL say we must have a 10 year deal on a stadium in the city. Wasps continue to refuse to talk to the club about a new deal. What then? Do the FL kick the club out of the league?

The FL can play a little bit of a part here in that they can force SISU's hand around this Site B and whether there is any credence to this or not. The computer generated image was clearly enough for the FL to stand down on this investigation for the last year or so but they need to be more forceful on this subject.
I think this is all down to SISU's motivation in wanting to get this issue sorted but they need all parties to engage, people are believing Wasps & councils every word on these talks but this whole thing has stunk from the get go and its clearly a personal battle now. I would like to see SISU extend the olive branch but it just simply isn't going to happen.

Going back to wanting SISU out, this depends on replacements of course. I am happy if we get security of the ground and academy even if that is with SISU. This is about saving the club not removing SISU out of the process, its the wider issue of securing our future.

Why is it that anyone who thinks that all parties need to resolve the stadium issue, not just SISU, are all in favour of court battles. That's just a cheap shot, when you have nothing to further your argument.

Personally I would be happy to see the back of SISU, Wasps and the Council dissolved, so am I a SISU, Council and Wasps apologist or anti apologist?

Once you can face the fact that Wasps are not going anywhere you will turn to Sisu for the solution.
As I said on many occasions the answer lies with Sisu working with the other parties and using their facilities, not the demise of Wasps as a solution.
One day Sisu and the few will realise this.

Probably because everybody is waiting for Sisu to complete the court battles before they talk to them. Once they do that the process will begin as they have said it will.

It will get worse before it gets better IMHO.
I've inferred on many occasions that CCFC will be liquidated at some point.
In fact it will happen because the other parties, particularly Wasps, will do absolutely nothing (positive or negative). Even moving the team will hasten the process. Wasps will pick up the name and will already own the facilities so the only unknowns are how long until the end and what league we start in.

I have long accepted up to the fact that Wasps aren't going anywhere. They will stay until their bubble bursts. I am surprised you think I haven't accepted that fact, and would love to know why you think I think otherwise. I despise them, yes, but accept they are here.

SISU do need to work with the other parties, but can you see that the other parties also need to work with SISU?

I get the impression from some that they would rather see the clubs demise, so that these parties get one over SISU, rather than SISU get any deal. Some people just find their hatred of SISU blinds the fact that the club could die.
