I have not read all the comments so if I am repeating I apologise now, but I was under the impression going back a few years that should anyone purchase the arena they would also have to fund the building of hotels etc in the surrounding area.

Only if that someone is CCFC.

The caring sharing council strikes again.

There doesn't seem to be any suggestion that the arena is being sold, just the management company.

So, Mr Smartarse if ACL was your business what would you do ?

You have a choice of 2 candidates.
One is in a legal battle with you to try and take over on the cheap.
One is without there own ground, financially secure and need a stadium 15,000 or bigger.

I await with interest ......

Did you not maintain that nobody else would ever be interested in buying ACL other than CCFC?

Other parties meaning Sisu and Wasps are interested in the Ricoh, 1 party wants to do a deal around the table the other Sisu want to do it in court...

Also if you think Sisu are not the worst owners in the clubs history then god help us... The list of things that these people have done goes longer than any other i can remember.. Relegations, Point deductions, Court dates, multiple Directors, some who have sat in the stand for months without fans knowing some sitting in the dug out!!!!!! Text a Sub, failing to keep any players of any decent quality,, and then last but not least,, take the team away from the city.

Lastly Cheap deal or gaining the Ricoh on the cheap, is what Sisu's only plan other than day1 spend promotion, sell the club has been,, soon as RR plan A failed the ricoh is the only thing that recoups Sisu's loses.. The court case and move away is to force a land grab... I don't like the CCC i dont like the way they have been able to involve themselves in our club... But at this minute this club is dead with them or dead without them being involved,, sisu are going to kill this club if they dont get what they want because pound to a piece of shit if they cant compete with wasp's for the bid on the Ricoh then they cant afford to bulid a new one......

I have asked this several times before - if it going "cheap" why should it only be SISU who can bid for it?

You do not know what the WASPS offer is yet - and they certainly do not have the money they need

There are several parties who buy investment companies ( ie ACL ) but they no longer pay silly prices

Could be...

The lease is worthless though as it has no tenant. That's my point. The stadium won't attract a lease purchaser as it has no marketability, no sponsor and even the car parking has been taken away - the club would be the only interested party.

If it was doing half as well as you and many others claim it is AND could rival the NEC is do what you always said. Stick a roof on it and make millions for the taxpayer.

I wouldn't wait for a reduced bid from someone who was struggling to raise capital to meet the first valuation.

I await with interest.....

It is not inane

I have not said they will overturn the past results - that is only your reading - I am saying it will be a totally different scenario in front of 3 High Court Judges.

Actually, ACL have been courting Wasps as far back as 2010/11.....according to the CT article from Aug. 2013....

They have also courted Northampton and London Welsh - in fact anyone who might come

WASPS have also "courted" Oxford and Stevenage

Means nothing!

Ah good old council jack.

To be fair I gave the council too much credit. Sisu sre amateurs compared to your boys.

Sue a club for taking ours on but welcome a club from London and do a knock down deal.

You and your colleagues hate CCFC don't you.

If the Wasps deal is accepted and the contract signed, then it's going to be a little late to make any offer. If you were looking to match or top Wasps' offer then I'd say now is the time to express interest because I suspect the Council would be legally obliged to listen. Beyond that point contract law kicks in, and even SISU will struggle to top that in court.

As for the JR and ACL and the loan, it's a known risk. I don't think this in itself would stop the deal going through.

The Council's agreement will be caveated with proof of funds and their source ( or should be )

It may be a known risk but an unknown result

What property does it own that it rents out? So you're defining an investment company as any company that rents out a property. If a hairdresser rents their chairs out is that an investment company?

I think you will find the fee undisclosed

If it was a sensational deal I think it would be used for political expedience - actually I know it would.

The report alledges the deal is less than the original proposal so actually it is a knock down deal.

Unless of course you are questioning the CET in their reporting.

Are you ? Thought not.

Er, I think it's The Ricoh that us the "farcical, embarrassing, destructive, mythical stadium" - the myth being that the would ever be enough Sky Blues fans wealthy, loyal or committed enough to fill it on a regular basis, regardless of the division we played in or the style of play. Good luck to Wasps and ACL, let's genuinely wish them well and move on after a period of rental with a better build more suitable for the now totally proven number or real, true, relevant fans, and sack off the rest of the useless pointless fickle hangers on who have been part of the problem blighting this Club all along. Now the commercial rifts are healing and the rancour between the businesses is fading there's no barrier to the Council and The Club playing ball and arranging planning consent for a decent Coventry Location for "Highfield Road II".

They might interpret them differently !! Thats why we have a judicial system of many tiers otherwise we might just as well only have JP's
