It's like a weight has been lifted off their shoulders more than the pressure being off. The relief of achieving promotion to the Premier League, what most of our players have never done before. Now they'll be fully focused on winning the title without any nerves of not being promoted.

I believe we have enough in the tank to claim the title, which overall, we deserve.

Either way, 1st or 2nd, when promotion is mathematically confirmed, I will do my Bruce Willis victory jig from Die Hard 3.

do you think any other fans would be stressing about a 10 point lead with 4 to play. it must be programmed into us from birth.

I think once were mathematically promoted the pressure will be off. They should play with freedom then and smash the last few games.

Millwall are 4,500/1 to finish above us. Anyone can stick a tenner on them if you think they have a chance. Middlesbrough are a point further back from them.

It's mission accomplished for us. Now we're mixing the icing for the cake.

Nah, not having it. They will be feeling the pressure, they wanted to promotion, they now want the title.

I expect us to do it. But this isn't an easy run in.

There seems to be a lot of assumptions that Ipswich are on some sort of a roll and likely to win a good chunk of their remaining games, despite there being no evidence at all to support this.

Over the course of the season, they have only been able to string together more than 2 consecutive wins twice. A run of 4 in Dec/Jan where they won an away game (unfortunately us) and then had 3 home games on the bounce. There was then a run of 3 at the end of Jan, where again, they had a win away and 2 home game wins.

On both occasions they followed up their "streak" with some really poor form. taking just 4 points from the next 4 games at the start of the year and a slightly better 6 points from their subsequent 4 in March

Add to this, the difference in their points accumulated at home and away where they are averaging 2.2 ppg at home and just 1.5ppg away. With 4 of their final 6 being away (including 3 on the bounce after they play Boro), it looks even less likely that they will continue on their winning ways.

Yes they are unbeaten in 9 games but they are still dropping points and we don't even need them to start losing. Every point dropped is one off the target we need to hit

I know in the run in, form kind of goes out of the window but I can't see a world where they all of a sudden find a level of consistency that has been missing from them all season.

I would love it for either Pompey or Boro to do a job on them and get a win. If they do (or even if they can both produce a draw) and we take all 3 points from Blackburn, we can secure the title with a win v. Pompey a week tomorrow!!

Boro seem to be a spent force without Hackney and Whittaker

Spent force? Checks notes

No team in the Championship has a worse record than Middlesbrough over the last 6 games. This includes Sheffield Wednesday and they haven't won for 37 games

Sunday is Boro's last stand. They know that anything but a win at Ipswich is curtains for them and I expect them to throw everything at that game.

They are both the exact type of team the other plays well against. Could be high scoring

So we need to pick up 8 points to confirm the title

Blackburn - Unsure, would not be surprised to see another low scoring draw

Pompey - Win

Wrexham - Win if their season is over

Watford - Win, they will be on the beach and do not look like much of an outfit under their latest manager

I think we do it, but the only annoying thing is Ipswich's game in hand being sandwiched between the penultimate and last round of games combined with our failure to win Saturday means I do not think we will be lifting the trophy at The CBS

You have us taking 6 points off Wrexham and Portsmouth. We're 10 points ahead of Ipswich and they can only get a maximum 18 more points.

Portsmouth A
Middlesbrough H
Charlton A
WBA A
Southampton A

If you're right about the 6 points for us it would mean we're champions if they only drop 3 points in all these games. If we also got a draw against Blackburn it would mean Ipswich getting a draw and win the rest would also make us champions
