Not really - strikers who perform well regularly move upwards. Look at all the fuss around Collims who is at best hit or miss.
At this level he is proven. Not so sure about higher up.

Think you're getting your Colins mixed up with your Tom's.
Got a feeling Colin was in Z Cars.

What about the previous 130 games at this level? Or dont they count?
Well not really no, if looking to invest money in a signing surely you would be more interested
In his recent history (Form) if he's scoring almost 1in 2 over the last two seasons why would
You worry about his record before that.
If a striker had a goal scoring record of 1 in 2 over two years, but followed it up with two years
at 1 in 6, would you buy him (or not) based on his current dismal form or his blistering form
From yesteryear.

Just looked at his last sustained spell at this level which happens to be his last nearly 70 games. His record shows he is a proven striker at this level.
A level above you have a point.

Think it was Tom Baker who by the way was the best Doctor Who.

He was. That was then and this is now though and I have really loved both David Tennant and Matt Smith as the Doctor.

Tom Baker was my favourite though for an age.

No, but he was the villainous Paul Merroney in The Brothers

Anyway, moving on to a new topic..does anyone think that MR might re-sign Baker???

But then he would have to admit to losing the debate so, you must be wrong brylowes.

With that thinking Misfud would have been a proven striker. His prior record showed it was more likely a flash in the pan which it was.

Last season he averaged more than one in three for the first time in his career

Hi all,
Not heard anything / don't know anything, but if I recall from a previous thread, the stumbling block of the return of Baker was a possible fee - could MR now use some of the Thomas money on this or is this deal unlikely?
Apart from Moorhouse - any other players being rumoured?

God I hope not
