To be fair its an old ad but it does give an idea of what careers they view as not worthwhile.

Ah I just posted this again to see if it was real but now see it's old. When was it from?

It certainly puts to bed any hopes it's any less virulant now than in March, however.

Yeah absolutely. I think the NHS just understands better now what it’s dealing with and how best to deal with it. The worry is the government will use that to push their luck with delaying decisive action to protect the NHS and waste that cushion.

The app is a fucking joke, loads of my friends and I getting phantom alerts that warn we might have had contact that just disappear, googled it and they just say it's a problem with the app. I thought fuck this I'm going to order a test if so many people close to me are getting the same notification but I'm not eligible for it as I have no symptoms, nobody I know currently has it and I don't need it for work.

Now our apps are doing this...

NHS app glitch that causes false notifications is still not fixed

The notifications do not indicate you have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for the coronavirus. Instead, they are 'default notifications' from Google and Apple.

While its an old ad is does raise the question of why the government view the features careers as ones people should be looking to leave and retrain.

Absolute farce. Basically betting shops and non-food pubs shut in one city? Yeah, that should do it.

Need to find out what meals they serve in pubs in tier 3 areas as it seems to make you immune from covid. That's a much simpler solution than bothering to create a vaccine.

Back in the old days before all day opening on a sunday, one of the first boozers I frequented in Liverpool used to "sell you" a roast dinner for a £1....in reality all you got was a receipt......and a free pass to drink all afternoon as you were officially "dining".....

....Ahhh....the circle of life

The Liverpool City Region's pubs, bars and betting shops will close on Wednesday as it becomes the first area in England to be placed in the highest level of a new three-tier lockdown system.
Why do they always do this? If closing them is the right thing to do then close them now. Don't give everyone a couple of days notice to go on a massive 2 day bender.

I don’t get the rates if Manchester aren’t very high risk with 700 per per 100,000 we should be fine in Coventry at just over 100 cases

Where I live is going in to Tier 2, as announced by the local MP on his facebook page. This of course being prior to the new legislation being discussed in parliament / becoming law. He also suggested that you couldn't visit other households in neighbouring areas but could go further afield and visit households. Like everything else, it just seems like another dog's dinner of random acts which bear no relationship with suppressing the virus.

Any noise on what tier Coventry is going into?
