They do when you can't take the test due to non return envelope or not one qualified at your home and they lag when you could a test posted as a test completed.Cases don’t lag it’s deaths that lag over the weekend

It is good news that the death rate is about 75% lower than a week ago. It means there will be thousands less families losing a loved one each week. How can that not be good?

It’s encouraging that that the cases are falling as are the death totals.....don’t you see that as an encouraging sign we’re getting on top of the virus??? Yes very much so .There's a huge difference in those numbers. One is 6% of the population and the other is 50%. If its 50%, and re-infection isn't possible, you're getting to the point of herd immunity being a viable way forward. Going to need a lot more certainly on the numbers before they can be used to formulate the strategy going forward.

Have had it in the back of my mind that I had it then passed it onto my wife just before Xmas. Spent days in bed which is unusual for myself. But the children had nothing. Have never had time off work for being ill. Yet you say it isn't good news that the number of deaths is well down.The more people die - the more statistically likely that one of us, our kids or our parents get it and get it bad.

Only 315 needless deaths. Yippee.New cases down for a 3rd day in a row....bet none of you will mention that good news though will ya, will just moan about us doing 85k tests
The level off lockdown here has been very hard on people.
Went out last night for the first time, as allowed out from 8-11 now for 1 hours exercise.
Spoke to a few people i know and found out 5 people have commited suicide out here (just in our province).
So that's 3 deaths from COVID 19 and 5 suicides.
Problem was the country was just not ready financily and most people have still not received a penny in help yet,
people being told now that maybe May 10th or June before payouts received by most.
One of the women i spoke to has lost so much weight and was skin and bones, said she has a bowl of soup a day as that's all she can afford.
So yes, going in to a HARD lockdown has helped reduce/eliminate the growth but at a very high mental cost to people.
We are also being told that as we have had so few cases that we are likely to be hit again after lockdown as we have a very low immunity to it.
Long term the UK's way might just prove to have been the correct one.

It's a 5 stage plan over the next 2 months. Opening to inter island flights and mainland Spain flights first.aren't there plans to use the Canaries as a bit of a guinea pig to test opening back up resorts?
I read they are thinking of opening them up to domestic tourists to start with?
