I wonder if the dibble will be having a word.

Probably not as he's a Tory.

He also did a 40 mile each way trip to.drop.off food and medicine but later admitted a neighbour of his parents was looking after it.

Not essential then

So how accurate are the mortality rates .
America running close to Chinese levels circa 4% .
Countries who have tested heavily around 2% .
The cruise ship in Japan 1.7%

I notice there's folk trying to use the ramblings of an RMT official to attack the labour party.

Not an affiliated union.

Don’t get this, travelling to bring essentials to the vulnerable is allowed, how did he defy lockdown?

150 mile trip and he’s the communities minister. Think there may have been others who could have stepped in for him and he decided to see his parents. Nothing wrong with that

There was also a neighbour going the same thing.

So it's not the actual task that is against the rules its is the 80 mile round trip essential when someone who lives next door can do the same thing.

It's the argument about people living 10 miles to a park. It doesn't state it is illegal in the emergency powers act but is it needed?

Been.in the vicinity of several people who've had to isolate or had the virus, has hopped from his Westminster abode to his second home (not his family home) and then to his vulnerable parents.

As I said there is also a neighbour of his parents who already drops off food and stuff.

I know folk who live a 15 minute drive from their parents but haven't been able to see them.

Police now hanging about in super markets to see who's buying non essentials. Between that and standing outside hospitals they don't seem to have much to do.

why don’t the supermarkets just block off the ‘non essential’ aisles? And who’s making these decisions on what’s essential and what isn’t?

Because as the spokesman for number 10 said both today and yesterday if a shop has been deemed essential and is staying open people are allowed to buy anything it sells.

Ah missed the second home bit. I’d seen it reported just as “took some supplies to his parents”. That makes more sense.

Sounds like a plan. Everyone needs to give someone else on here 5 of their contacts, then when we all have a list we neck a few cans and dial away. Good luck whoever gets to give The Lurker their contacts .

Very easy. Have a go at both sides to a debate and both sides disagree with you. On a lot of subjects you are supposed to be one side or the other. But frequently both sides are shite.

Corbyn and Boris for one. But try saying Labour had no chance with Corbyn because of too many skeletons in the closet. That becomes to mean you are destroying his character. But the truth is you can see that the Tories would walk it even if they put an idiot against him.....

So Boris comes along. There is your idiot. And we all know what happened next.

I was a prick for saying Starmer would have a better chance. Now hardly any complaints now it has happened.

All in a day of SBT.

Updated the new positives, misheard the number, 3951 but testing being increased.

Today the press conference was unusually short so they didn’t go into detail but it does seem to be moving in the right direction still.

More bluster from Hancock.

Constant talk of ramping up testing and increased PPE yet nothing to show for it.

Talking about how much capacity we've got to make more PPE. Great, we might finally have enough just in time for when this virus hit six weeks ago.

Not been into a supermarket since the lockdown but was in boots yesterday getting some hay fever treatment and they had. Food, medicines and stuff like shampoo, deodorants, family planning only. All the isles with electrical goods, designer perfumes and gifts all cordoned off.

I like Hancock, comes across well, but weren't he talking about PPE weeks ago?

I know at work we have a turn around of about 2 days from a delivery to using a product, which would explain the lag with the sudden urge, but surely they could have got supply lines in place for the additional by now.
