It’s great news IF that’s the reality. Who knows. The key is whether the virus ‘reappears’ (not sure I’m of the medical term !!) and becomes widespread once the restrictions are removed though

Hopefully they have learnt lessons about having disgusting live animal markets

My only issie is if we you stop football gatherings you have to stop All gatherings. Close pubs and cinemas etc restaurants. Dont Just stop sports otherwise waste of time

Absolutely. Surely, there's more chance of infection in closed spaces such as pubs, theatres and cinemas?

Yep, they've already confirmed that, although you get more people together in one place meaning technically higher chance of interacting with someone who has the virus, there is far less spread of the virus in open air and outdoor venues than in closed spaces like pubs etc. It's a weird one. Would think a one and all approach has to be taken if they really want to stop the spread, it's not just sport and large gatherings that's the issue.

Not really because the amount of people that you could into close contact with at football stadiums is far higher?

spot on (I had to google pathogens !) and that’s what Im suggesting, it might (will probably) die down a bit in countries and then just spring back up.

This explains most of it and what they did last time, with the government pretty much not caring about learning from mistakes. Warning to anyone though, few parts of it are a little hard to watch.

Yeah its horrendous, they have a dog meat festival where they torture the dogs as the believe it makes them taste better. In that video above it says that its the rich that still want to eat this stuff so they have pushed the miss information about these animals for medical purposes, tiger bones giving you hard ons etc

NEWS: Matchday hospitality sold out at all remaining games , except for Wycombe midweek match

Surely an update about this tells us they’re not going to be playing behind closed doors?

But only if you're unlucky enough to sit next to someone with the virus. It's been said by loads of experts that the virus can only survive for "minutes" in the open air.

The virologist Chris Smith and Sarah Jarvis have actually suggested that the escalation point is still some weeks away and they expect that it will be 3 weeks or so before these measures are considered

The virologist this morning said the infection rate growth is nothing like that shown in the graph and still substantially below other countries and if it does peak will be 3 weeks on current trends

The way Chinese treat animals is disgusting but I bet you lot have had KFC where the animals don't even get to walk they're so fat in their short lives or battery eggs where the chickens never get to move or foie gras where they force feed an animal until it is ready to burst.

We'd have a leg to stand on about their practices if we weren't still barbaric hypocrites. Theirs is just out in the open instead of hidden in a slaughter house.

Come on guys use a bit of common sense.

Think about the amount of people you're going to come into contact with via toilets, hospitality, bars, and simply walking through the stadium itself.

I've already paid for my hotel for Blackpool away without the refund option so we'll be going up there game or not. Looks like it's fish and chips and donkey rides but no footie!

You are actually more likely to get it from touch screens, work hot desks, shopping trollies etc

Blackpool isn't the same without going to the football and the atmosphere around the place.

I'm sure it was McDonald's (?) who have those touchscreens where they nearly all had trace of human excrement on when tested, which is still more appetising than the menu. The one that I've always been paranoid about are the general toilets at work, some students appear to be actual animals at the best of times with the lack of hygiene so I'm walking further just to get my business done safely

Not football related but McLaren have just pulled out of the opening F1 race in Australia.

Safe to say that will now not take place also
