Most of it does seem to say it needs to be "predictable".

So it does rely on the predictions.

Yes, but you can't say covid will be 10k year so its now endemic.
It actually has to achieve that like chicken pox.
We're a long way from covid being as predictable as chicken pox.

The case graphs, the hospitalisation graphs look like roller coaster.

The good thing is things are so much better than last year.

It’s likely to be something like 2024 by the time it’s declared endemic, IMO.

I wonder if the majority of people dying right now are people who have been fighting delta vorus for a while?

Such high numbers in the population have omicron theres a reasonable chance that anyone dying at the moment would’ve had it in the past 28 days. We need to see the primary cause data. The base/standard hospitalisation and death figures aren’t very useful indicators at the moment due to Omicrons high transmissibility

Yea i was going off the fact the ventalators are going down, they have been 850+ for months and just gone below that, now omicron has over taken delta.

This government is an absolute joke and I don't think anyone on either side of the political divide can disagree or offer any kind of excuse for the behaviour they have exhibited.

Scandalous and outrageous what has been going on.

And yet I wouldn’t be surprised if come 2024 it’s forgotten and they get back in again. That’s half the problem.

Surely he doesn't need to wait for the results of an investigation to confirm if he himself was there or not...

I'm guessing the answer is yes then

He's lived his entire life like that, thinking rules don't apply to him & up until now he's been right.
He's a charlatan & I hope this country finally sees through the charade but won't hold my breath.

You know as well as I how it'll go though - we'll get somebody perceived as competent next, but ideologically even more removed than Johnson... but they'll get in because they're'competent'.

And then it'll start again...

It's like football managers really, the new one's always an upgrade until the fact they're shit becomes obvious(!)

The May 20 party scandal is much more harmful to the government - and the PM specifically - and its chances of winning another election. Why would they try to cover up a less damaging story with a more damaging one?

Well Sir Anthony Blair survived and won an election post the Iraq war debacle - I think a few sausage rolls and champers on the lawn are compared to that very survivable
