FYI I have had confirmation of the player whose mother in-law to be had a severe illness following the jab via pm. So fair play to @Marty for that. I don't feel I should post the players name on the forum.

Obviously the medical side of it is still unclear to me. However you can see it putting some of the players off unfortunately.

If it's true of course, I mean I'd be shocked if an anti vaxer made stuff up to try and strengthen their opinion (as they obviously don't have medical facts to do that)

I assume as well that there is definitive proof that if this illness did happen then it was 100% caused by a reaction to the vaccine and couldn't possibly have been caused by anything else

What's going on with the testing? Social media full of posts from people saying they have symptoms but can't get a test.

There's also suppliers of tests taking to social media saying they have tests ready and waiting that could be delivered but can get no response from anyone in government. There's companies literarily putting their contact details on twitter asking anyone in government to call them so they can supply the tests.

Meanwhile Johnson is on TV with his weird 'I haven't been on holiday again, honest' ramble telling everyone to get tested.

People are testing excessively now. I´m not actually surprised the test supply is running short.

Not everyone who is skeptical of the jab is an anti-vaxxer.

If someone has had ten vaccines in their life and one of them is a covid vaccine, however they are not going to get any further doses of it because they are skeptical for whatever reason, yet do not plug that to the wider world - that does not put them in the same category as people shutting down testing and vaccination clinics or marching through the streets.

It absolutely does as they are ignoring facts and siding with nonsense just like anyone who doubts the science for whatever insane reason they have

“whatever reason” tends to be driven by anti vax nonsense though. The old MMR anti vaxxers thought they were reasonable and had valid concerns too.

You either trust the combined efforts of the world’s medical community or you don’t ultimately. There’s literally no valid reason to be suspicious of this and not any other medicine. I’m willing to bet if you trace the reasons in 90% of cases they lead back to anti-vax propaganda in some form.

I do find it incredible that you scream for tolerance on some things, but on others you adopt such a condescending view like that. It is really disappointing, and for someone that would want everyone vaccinated, your attitude will do the exact opposite.

Of course there are valid reasons to be suspicious of this over other medicine. That is literally what this is all about. You cannot compare a vaccine that has just been rolled out to something that has been tried and trusted for decades. Israel is about to give out the fourth jab, it only drives skepticism. Maybe not for you, but for many people that is the case. They aren´t all lunatics.

And I find it genuinely scary that you draw a comparison between what I have said about myself being gay and my views on people who don't trust medical science... It isn't condescending to call an idiot who refuses to take the covid jab an idiot its called being factually accurate

And of course there are going to be more jabs needed whilst new variants happen, you are aware of the flu jab that is different every year aren't you due to new variants, this isn't a new thing at all

Some people just need a reason to be different due to their life not having any meaning at all and the popular thing at the moment is to distrust science for some bizarre reason

Agreed.....I'm still a little skeptical and I've had my booster!

Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla for example.... During the pandemic, the Greek-born veterinarian and longtime company exec has counseled leaders across the globe, even becoming a “good friend” of the US president, as Joe Biden asserted. Former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called Bourla 30 times in the run-up to the country’s election, according to the FT.

The point is, people should tolerate each other a lot better. Whether that is something which is a choice, or whether it is something that is not. You want people to accept you, I want people to accept others who do not want to get the vaccine. Again, a 17 year old deciding not to get the jab is not a big deal. A vaccinated 80 year old is at significantly more risk for example. I think it is just a chance to have a go at someone whilst hiding behind their own QR code. It isn´t really a massive deal if everyone in the world is not vaccinated and I am not sure why some people get so wound up about it.

I have never heard of a vaccine that has needed four total doses in one year either, so it isn´t like you can compare it to other ones in that circumstance. It just fuels skepticism, which is then met with the likes of people like you calling them names. It does not help.

There will be a point when people will be cheering somebody getting dragged into a van just because of their vaccination status.

It's like lockdown when you had the police stopping people from going for walks and neighbours grassing each other up for seeing people.

It's so weird.

Again (for what feels like the 80th time) me being biologically attracted to men not by choice does not affect anyone else, people choosing not to have the vaccine directly affects everyone around them why can't you accept that?

Ah right, I guess during your in-depth medical training they didn't cover vaccination theory then, I apologize as you have never heard of a vaccine needing tweaking it must all be bollocks then

You have no training or knowledge to be able to have a valid opinion on whether there is any risk to taking the vaccine, just listen to the well trained intelligent people and follow the science before it has an adverse effect on yourself or someone you care for as it really is that serious and simple (and as much as I we disagree on most things I'd honestly hate for your misinformed opinion to lead to something bad happening to yourself or any of your loved ones)

Well, as there is a still a significant chance of both catching and transmitting the virus even after 3 jabs, its certainly more your grans lookout for sure....

Of course the CEO of Pfizer's solution is to have 4 jabs....natch

Yeah it’s incredible that people are actually intimating and attacking others for vaccinating and being vaccinated but instead we should be worried about mysterious forces dragging people into vans.

Pretty sure only GSK ever had to pay a fine of that size for their doctor bribery scandal of the early 2000s

The fuck are you on about? I said there will be a point. There will be judging the way people go on.

Of course people attacking vaccination stations should be dealt with. Absolute wrong uns. They should be locked up instantly, the same as if people are blocking ambulances etc. It's not on.
