There are currently 10 people in hospital with the Omicron variant of COVID - not 250, as Dominic Raab told Sky News.

I do agree about the need for government and media to be transparent and factual though. Like when hospitalisations were mentioned yesterday’s between 18-85 years old...that’s handy ! Were they hospitalised due to variant or already in hospital ? Had they been vaccinated and/or even boostered ?! These are really important questions/answers for when people are making decisions on going about their daily lives

They have reported this one Omicron death in the same way that all Covid deaths are reported which is 'deaths within 28 days of a positive Covid test'. They never say died of Covid.

I've just googled 'Omicron death' and clicked on 4 or 5 stories and all said 'died with Omicron'.
