What is this? Some kind of champagne vaccinisation?

Waiting area was the church next door to the medical centre and the volunteers provided refreshments. It was good but not as good as a bbq.
While only 58 per cent of the SA's eligible population has been doubled vaccinated, the state government is hoping to snag hesitant South Australians by offering them free sausages at more than 20 health clinics this weekend.

Sausage sizzles will be held throughout the state — from Mount Gambier in the south-east to Ceduna in the far west — to encourage vaccinations this Saturday and Sunday.

Can you explain how professional athletes ended up struggling with it then?

Everybody reacts differently to covid , some people it effects their organs , some people feel better than they would with a common cold .. it seems there is no shoe fits all model

Plenty of athletics have underlying health conditions, for example, I've seen many professional footballers use inhalers during a game, many have poor eye sight and wear glasses (obviously contacts during games). Not sure who we were playing, but I even remember Gary McAllister losing a contact during a game while playing for us and having a replacement inserted while the game went on, it was only this summer we seen Eriksen collapsing and needing CPR on the pitch, being super fit and having huge amounts of talent doesn't make them immune to healthy issues.

If we're going to that level, then the majority of the UK will have something up with them!

It's just an example of a minor health concern. In normal world wouldn't be a problem, but for these people who are at the pinnacle, a 1% drop in performance is huge in terms of what they achieve.

It wasn't a question, it's a statement based on fact, I even included the supporting data.

You’ve just said even many elite athletes carry minor underlying conditions. There’s Man City players right now who will take time to get back up to full fitness after the outbreak there.

Clearly isn’t just ‘one for the fatties’

2 doses not great in protecting from omicron. 3rd dose helps massively. Still no invitation for my booster.

If your over 40 you don’t need invitation now, just book yourself in. I went on wed night after they said that’s what you can expecting it to be a week or so before I could get a time slot and I could pretty much pick anytime I wanted for today

70-75% protection from any covid symptoms.

That really doesn't seem that high to me.

Am I wrong?

50% evens, 66% 2-1, 75% 3-1, 80% 4-1, 90% 9-1.

Never been a betting person.

Hopefully yes. More concerned with patient admissions here. It has been said this is the main concern of clogging everything up and lockdown and all that jazz.

Yep, the more severe disease that is kept under control the better.

Friend of mine has been waiting 18 months to have his bowel reattached. Fairly easy procedure, but had to be put off for that long because of a lack of beds.
It's not just covid patients that covid is having a massive effect on.

Leaked docs show more restrictions could be on the way in the UK.

Yeah it's the little things too. My Mum got taken ill and was in hospital for a couple of weeks, and not being able to visit her was hard, especially as I didn't know if she was coming out again.

The Mrs tested positive 2 weeks ago. She had her booster booked but obviously had to cancel. She's recovered now, but when can she book her booster for. I've read 28 days from the positive test, but still unsure.
