Pretty sure you can decrease cancer by changing the way some people live.

Maybe we could force people to exercise to decrease obesity and therefore bring down the risk a bit?
Maybe we could ban smoking full stop, just completely ban it.

How many deaths every year could be prevented if people weren't obese? How much would the strain be decreased on the NHS?

Like I said, if we want to fuck with people's lives and tell them how to live then where does it stop?

By this I mean going forward with people who are petrified of coming out of lockdown.

I could spend the next year eating fry ups, drinking, smoking and not exercising, it won't affect you one iota.
Its a ridiculous comparison.

I've said before, of course there are people who are frightened of coming out of lock down, I can understand it in the same way there are people who are frightened of another lockdown, I can understand that as well.
These are strange times and they've fucked with peoples heads.

You could also cough all over me and sit next to me and I won't die of COVID,

It's fact that obesity can increase the risk of cancers.
It is also fact that obesity increases the chance of lots of other illnesses.

Maybe we can ban fat cunts to save the NHS?

The aids and Cancer arguments are stupid.

We can and do take action to reduce the spread of them.

Comparing a lifestyle disease to an airborne virus doesnt make sense, no.
You need to switch off social media and get some fresh air. We're on the way out of this now, you shouldn't be letting it wind you up.

If we could stop cancer by socially distancing and wearing masks I think most people would do it.
Aids in general could be stopped by practicing safe sex.
We've put normal life on hold for just over a year to prevent adding to the 130k deaths.
It was the right course of action in my opinion and hopefully we're on the way out of it now.

I'm not wound up (for a change)

Fresh air? I've had plenty and will get some more later! Hopefully it doesn't upset people too much hiding in their kitchen cupboard.

It sounds like it's winding you up. Were weeks away from it being pretty much over and vaccines are going great. Chill out.
And a bit ofempathy towards those hiding in their kitchen cupboards wouldn't go amiss otherwise your mental health concerns don't sound very genuine to be honest.

No cancer isn't contagious, more of a risk to some people though so should we just give up on life now in case we get it one day? I'm much more likely to die from cancer than COVID, that's not just saying it. It's fact.

Should I give up on life now in case I get it or just live life normally and see what happens?

Ironically things going back to normal will lead to increasing toxins and carcinogens in the air and thus increase the likelihood of cancer.

Really not wound up in the slightest, I am sat in my pants about to watch the Brentford game.

Again, the issue is probably more with the media than people hiding in their kitchen cupboards. Completely scare mongering a lot of the time for months, over and over all day every day.

I have full empathy, reading it back it doesn't come across with that comment. Apologies, my issue is more with the media who have done their best to make it that way.

Well there is a drug they can buy that seems to prevent their death, possibly pass it on, and lead full term lifespan etc .
Not sure if it's been adopted as an NHS freely available yet though.

Yes HIV drugs exist but usually requires a cocktail that is more effective early on

I'm massively hungover so any side effects will just merge with that. Grateful to them though, they must get through loads daily up there.

No rush, we're only 18 months into this.

Covid: Parts of England to trial self-isolation support

People in overcrowded homes will be offered alternative accommodation in a bid to improve compliance.

Yeah, things like that, test events, testing hospitality in certain locations should've been rolled out a lot quicker. Everyone’s been firefighting to some extent I guess but limited forward looking strategy from us and/or most other countries

Bit of a sore arm but that is all. There was a moment of weird existential self-realisation when I was waiting the 15 minutes after the jab. Here I am in a mass vaccination centre in a global pandemic. Could have just been the previous nights vodka I suppose but it all seemed more real. They are doing a great job, hopefully we have jabbed our way out of this.

Its certainly been a weird 14-15 months ! Maybe the vodka helped minimise the reaction.......to be fair I’ve heard Pfizer usually causes less side effects so hopefully just a bit of a sore arm is it
