Not even play it down, just not make out the world is going to end. Every single day Piers Morgan was shouting, screaming and saying how bad it was. He obviously didn't think it himself because he was behaving differently on a personal level.

How many people are going to be petrified of living a normal life now? Even reading this thread you can see that there are people who are going to live very differently now even when things are open.

Every little "mutant strain" is going to scare the shit out of people because of DEADLY MUTANT headlines where in reality more people have probably died on motorways this week.

It just needs context.

Of course some people are going to be scared going back to normal. Weve had a 130k deaths from a disease which still out there.
Hopefully its now at a point where its manageable but I can see why some people are still worried.
It took a few horror stories of 30 somethings in ICU in Bolton to instigate an increase in vaccine take up.

Decided to click on an anti vaxxers profile on twitter and have a read through , full of peoples opinions being retweeted etc.

It's crazy tbh I never realised just how many people were so against this.

The best one was a bbc article about a vaccine centre that had graffiti on it with the words depopulation centre or something like that .

Got me thinking , who would be the babysitters in a world with no 18 plus year olds

If it wasn't for various vaccines that have been developed over the years half these cunts wouldn't be alive, which might not be a bad thing.

We only need to look at the confusion on travel corridors last week to see what vague advice brings.

I think the travel corridor ambiguity is deliberate.
Government says one thing, foreign office says another and if it goes tits up they can blame the public.
For the purpose of insurance its the foreign office guidelines you need to follow.

Do we take from this that the Kent variant was around 30% more transissable not 70% as implied initially or that the response just needed to be quicker to respond and quell the rise,so the rules were really the same.
Confusing for me or being a simpleton hadn't we had spells where r was deemed to be at 3

Yes there was, but when it was mentioned on here previously it got laughed out the thread. I doubt we will see any apologies.

Not disputing that it may be more transmissible. I think it would be useful to see how many cases are from a single household in Bolton / Blackburn, I'd suspect a lot. I notice that Sefton got on top of its outbreak.

I'm making no claims, just wanted to put the actual report on record as the newspaper story was misleading.

I don't think there's anything yet that says pause anything.

I noticed yesterday we had a higher case load average but a lower death average on the week before. Has that happened previously?

41% second dose, in a month’s time that’ll be comfortably over 50. Just hope Boris for once stands his ground
