I completely agree but to say we should all decides what’s best is when waves of infection happen. Some of us don’t know better until it’s too late and it’s us on a ventilator or our best mate or mumWhat about suicides, people missing cancer treatments, people not being able to get diagnosed with serious illness.

We can't stay locked up forever for every little variant that comes out. If that's the case then to be honest I can see the suicide rate jumping up as it's no real life to live.

Both my sister and her husband got COVID from petrol pumps and supermarkets.That's the thing, the way some people want to live the rest of their lives I can't see past suicide.
Everything is a risk, I drive my car it's a risk, I cross the road it's a risk, there's a fairly decent chance I will get cancer. That's a risk.

The fact that death rates are at their lowest for 20 years would suggest lockdown has worked/is working.

Agree, but i think its the shit like having to book to go into a pub. The rule of 6 (not that i have 6 mates to go pub with), 30 at weddings, not allowed to have a function room party for your 30th/50th whatever, and of course this limited capacity football matches, masks everywhere.
