I can't get the link to the article but Tim Spector is in the mail today saying it is the Jab that is responsible for the drop in infections, not the lock down that BJ states.
I'm bloody sick of it now but the lack of confidence in the jab doing its job is wearing on me.

Infections due to lockdown really

Hospitalisations and deaths due to vaccine

It’s both? This isn’t hard. There’s a clear lockdown effect because we see cases dropping in the unvaccinated groups. Yet there’s also a clear vaccine effect because we see cases and deaths dropping faster in the vaccinated groups.

This is like asking if it’s your heart or your lungs to thank for keeping you alive.

When my sister was seriously ill with pneumonia (which is where covid leads), she had a blood clot on the brain which the consultant said was common.

Also heard on Sky that Darren Moore has now got pneumonia following COVID, really hope he pulls through. Very decent guy but fear for him a bit

I didn't realise but he's also asthmatic and has got blood clots too. Not a religious man but sending some prayers his way

With Darren Moore presumably in hospital and Steve Cotterill having spent 50 days there, football's argument for keeping going is weak

Also shows the folly in not prioritising all asthmatics for vaccines.

I get what you're saying... But 1 person dying is not as much of a news story as 1,000 people dying is it? I'd expect it to be plastered all over the news (as it was) if 1,000 peope were dying from Covid

Suspected this would happen. Was hugely optimistic to think you could have crowds of tens of thousands living in a field for a week this summer.

BBC said:
The UK wants to identify and deploy two effective treatments for Covid that can be taken as a tablet or capsule by the autumn, the government has announced just ahead of Boris Johnson's press conference.

People would be able to take them at home following a positive test or exposure to the virus to reduce the chance of spreading the virus and speed up recovery, the Department of Health said.

Finding the treatments will be the job of a new Antivirals Taskforce, which is being asked to search for the most promising medicines and to support their development through clinical trials.

The taskforce is also being asked to look at whether the treatments can be manufactured in the UK.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson said they would be "another vital defence against any future increase in infections".

Chief scientific adviser Sir Patrick Vallance said antiviral drugs "could help protect those not protected by or ineligible for vaccines. They could also be another layer of defence in the face of new variants of concern."

The taskforce is modelled on the Vaccines Taskforce which was responsible for securing the UK's supply of vaccines.

Not sure if this is great news or just wishful thinking. If they can get this sort of treatment alongside vaccines then surely we're at the point where covid genuinely does become a bit like getting the flu.

Blair didn’t twist the knife on radio 4. As if the pm has the power!
What pisses me off is the ventilators we’re going to be paid for by those taxes and used by people who both pay in their taxes and are paid by those taxes to treat people who have paid their taxes.

bastards

A dozen of those excluded committed suicide as of January. I hope no more have been added to that number. They should have been listened to as a priority.
