I was thinking today I wonder when away fans will be let back in, I can see some sort of return for home support next season but it wouldn't surprise me if away support is the season after next.

Looks like 600k vaccines were administered yesterday.

Cases around 21k (Sunday numbers never reliable indication but good to see them creeping lower)

600k is some going. I'm still expecting to see a slow down when the time comes to start the round of 2nd jabs but hopefully it won't be too bad.

and cases and deaths down on last Sunday, still horrendously high but lets hope we're starting to see some progress towards a way out of this.

Also as you mentioned second doses above, over 10,000 were given yesterday which is the highest since Jan 13th. Whereas death/hospital figures lag at the weekend, it does seem that they peak for vaccinations then too

Parents have their appointments at Stoneleigh. Got to hope that the Germany advising against over 65s for the Oxford one is over-cautious, but guess we'll find out...

Other half's grandmother declined an appointment for one because a 30 minute drive was too far away.

Good news NW. I think the Germans are talking crap mate.
I'm not sure what the opening hours are at Stoneleigh currently but I do know they're trying to get it running 24/7. Hopefully they can achieve that.

No, not heard anything about it - everything here is centred around the government crisis at the moment - COVID cases are relatively stable but still not great.

They're not talking crap, they're effectively deciding that as there's limited data, they're not going to advise for it to be used in over 65s.

Looks like we'll be providing the data!

Misleading surely as the majority of people who are likely to have a risk of dying will be vaccinated. Under 40 and it’s a tiny risk But these death forecasts don’t consider that do they?

Yeah, Macron was the one talking crap (saying AZ/Oxford vaccine was quasi ineffective for over 65s - there is no data to support that comment). Germans, as you say, are indicating there’s not enough a data to be sure although the EMA have said they expect it will protect over 65s in the same way it does to other ages groups (hence them also approving it for all ages over 18) and every scientist I’ve heard talking about it has suggested the same

I think both France and Germany have got one eye on managing their respective publics when they have made the comments/decisions though

Their claims has been refuted by many other respected bodies. It's also doubtful the EU would have approved the vaccine if true.
I'm sticking by they're talking crap! Hope I'm right.

who do you think leaked it to the press in Germany? Given what followed there was something dodgy going on.

Keep in mind also one of the priority groups to be vaccinated is aged 18+ with severe underlying conditions

Not hard to predict you'd be triggered by him. Thought the Harvard epidemiologist was worth a listen. Pretty sure Femi's parents both worked for the NHS, irrelevant though really as he's not giving the answers.

I would very much like to see the evidence on there being lots of under 50s who would start flooding the intensive care units once we vaccinate the top 9 groups. Considering that this isn't going to be eradicated do we send ourselves to a lifetime of wearing masks and avoiding each other? Appreciate this isn't necessarily your view.

He's a total fucking moron.

If you post a link to someone with about as much credibility as Nick Griffin you're going to get roasted I'm afraid.

600k is about 1% of the entire country, that's really encouraging for a single day's work
