Boris says he's keeping schools under 'continuous review'. My school was down 20-30 staff today, most of us are doing cover each day now. We were also down about 15% of the student roll. We're not going to be able to keep this going for much longer.

It’s bizarre...it looks like it’s never going to get finished....... the Royal is rough...I slept on the floor there as no seats when a family member was ill .....

Sorry about that- staff down due to self isolating?

His was appalling, as expected. Just lots of rambling without making any points or revealing any detail, just standard Johnson blustering.

Sunak however was very impressive. It's amazing how much difference it makes when someone speaks confidently and concisely, much more calming and reassuring to listen to him. He made Johnson look like a toddler.

He'll be PM one day I'm sure, or Tory leader at least.

Mostly yes, with a few for other reasons. I know that we're doing an important role in keeping health workers available but we're under heavy strain ourselves at the moment.

Bless he is still posting at me.

Closing closed brings many non health related issues. For example what do you do with all the health care workers who can't go to work as the cant source emergency healthcare

i have never seen or heard much from him apart from that picture of him making a huge pot of Yorkshire tea. Sounds good though.

He was awful, nothing to counter the paradox of thrift and prop up demand. It is a case of kicking their collapse down the road.

Still going. Pretty impressive press conference (more economic based). They have put forward a pretty far reaching package of support, with more to follow. Sure it won’t be enough for many but certainly a positive steps (certainly when some were suggesting they weren’t going to do anything significant). Hopefully it helps, it definitely will in the short to medium term, depends on how long this all lasts though

Yeah, it occurred to me today there are many roles that, perhaps, we might recognise as more important than we value them at present.

The bin men, the checkout assistants, the care home workers... all jobs that this country *needs* to keep going at the moment, or we end up in serious trouble.

Behaviour is appalling and teachers have left in droves-one got through her eye last year. But you could say the same about quite a few schools in Cov

You are 100% right, my wife works in a pharmacy and currently spends all day organising queues to get prescriptions as fast as possible to stop the place turning into a free for all. That’s all she does, but she says she gets more respect now than she ever did before.

Exactly what I was thinking when Trump conjures up multiple billions of dollars ‘for the economy’.

I bet China are thinking; ‘ey up’

My old PhD supervisor always used to say that if you were flipping useless in life you could always find a space as a politician. Loads proving his point

The problem is that China are simply much smarter than Trump. His actions will backfire enormously.
