If anything promotion complicates things. If he doesn’t re-sign, then we’re potentially getting relegated and he’ll have 1 year left, depending on how he does in the Prem it could seriously lower his value, and he’ll be 29.

we’ve had rumours rumble about him and teams linked, which usually comes from agent talk.

Reading between the (head)lines he’s clearly had half an eye on an exit for a while, but he’s about to play in the most lucrative league on the planet bar maybe Saudi and might just decide his complaints aren’t that bad at that point. I genuinely wouldn’t want to call it. If there’s £20m on the table and he’s not committed I’d say cash in but that’s a big couple of ifs.

Funnily enough there was an interview with Jody Morris, I swear he said that Lampard managed to talk Van Ewijk and Wright into staying.

suppose the first job on promotion would be finding out what Wright, Rudoni and Thomas fancy, and getting them tied down

@Saddlebrains might have actual info but as a dumb layman from the outside I’ve always felt Wright was one of those who King felt would fook off if we kept Robins on.
