My mate coaches his little brother at my school and apparently, Thomas is looking to leave, however, his dad was trying to talk him out of it.

Could be BS but it'll be interesting to see if it's right.

Of course he's looking to leave.

Far too old to still be at school.

This could have some value in it. I'm never a one for rumour and stuff but having read what Robin's said singling him out for praise and a 'different class' which would suggest he is bulling him up a bit in hoping to keep him maybe or certainly saying he is most definately required in his plans and a with a good future at CCFC?

If there was any truth in it then i suggest Thomas gets his head down and work hard for CCFC before he thinks he is still a Liverpool target or anyone else! He's been out for quite a while and he has to prove himself all over again tbf.

But then this is just me thinking out loud based on nothing.

He was sent back from Liverpool mainly on medical grounds was he not? Failure to go up this season will make it mighty tempting in any case.

I've heard many rumours... Ranging from, 'he wanted to go outs on loan' instead of working through the reserves to 1st team', 'he couldn't settle', 'he isn't good enough', 'wasn't fit enough'. I haven't got a clue.

What a load of cobblers!

It's what his little brother said to my mate, who as I said, helps coach his rugby team at school. I'm not saying it is concrete, after all, it's a secondary source and between family members...

I hope he doesnt leave but if he does it is all finances and we are getting results on the pitch without him, never look into the darkness always seek the light!

I think Robins is trying to build his confidence, he's a young lad and has been injured so an arm round the shoulders is probably a good idea.

Im pretty sure if he was looking to move away he would of been frozen out of the team like Hussey. Robins won't have players who don't want to be here in and around the squad, and as he is under contract so if he wanted to leave he would have to make his intentions known.

It will be spun someone wants to go and the :mad:rent needed paying.

BS he just said about a week ago that he was looking forward to playing for coventry again. unless robins and thomas had a massive fall out (which i doubt) then he wont go. and robins also said that he was looking forward to working with him once fit soon after he was appointed

To me it seems BS, I even acknowledged it, it doesn't make sense, but it wouldn't surprise me if he wanted to leave to a bigger team.

Has or should i say had potential but never fit and rarely plays, we can't afford to carry passengers. At the moment he is behind about 6 midfielders

How can he, he's never fit and who's spot should he have ?

If he's fit he should have a go instead of Jennings. There is a lot of hype with him due to the Liverpool loan but he is still very much unknown.

He was more promising than Bigi last year and look where he's gone ,would be a regular but for Deegans parting gift.:jerkit::mad:

He was outstanding against Spurs and was decent all round last season but he's not ready for a big move yet. He needs time to home his craft. It's inevitable a big club will eventually snap him up but he's not ready. If he goes now he'll go nothing but play for the reserves and the odd cup game. If we leaves it for a couple of years he'll still have plenty of years ahead of him but he'll have the talent and the experience to push his way into the 1st team at a bigger club. He's top quality and i think will be the 2nd England international from Coventry one day, he needs to stay for now or he could lose his potential

Goldies playing for the first team at Ipswich, so u can't really blame the lad. If Connor left now, no way he'd get first team at a higher level, not after such a long lay off. Half a season with us showing he's fit enough and capable, then maybe yeah.
