Just want to say a big thank you and congratulations to Everyone for last night! We did ourselves proud!

Fellow KCIC Organisers and Helpers
ALL CCFC fans who were there holding signs, fans at home who were watching, tweeting, or explaining our situation to others!
Arsenal Fans for applauding us and supporting us throughout!
Steven Pressley and the team!
BT Sport and Newspapers (& other online media) for the coverage!

Despite the "blip" in timing (I knew as soon as the clock was counting down from 45 that would be too much for some people!) I think everything went well and we certainly got our message across!

I know a few people handing out the why/when's (including myself) had a few things said and shouted towards them but there were no serious incidents and generally everyone was on board with the idea, and I think that shows with all the pictures etc. so again WELL DONE ALL!

Until the next one ;)

Well done to you and the others Lewis, just woke up and have not seen the pics but from where I was in row 6 the stand was full of white.
The Arsenal fans were very supportive as well which was good.

Can I ask what sort of things were said?

Nothing too personal (too me, not sure about others).

Generally it was "no, I go to sixfields" ......... or "no I dont agree with that/kcic". I just think it was people who didn't quite understand what it was all about, and thought it was a protest aimed at not attending sixfields which it wasn't

Thanks lewys33 and anyone else that helped Michael yesterday, you did us proud. And it goes to show that a few small people can have a massive impact, it doesn't have to be mobilising thousands like the march. When people are already at a game, it doesn't take much to turn it into an effective protest.

Sixfields next?

From what I saw it looked like a good 95% holding up the cards though.

The schedules protests we're very good, despite the inaccurate timing, but it's hard to tell so benefit of the doubt given, big respect also the Arsenal fans who applauded us.

We had a similar issues when we were handing out anti Richardson/Robinson flyers at HR.

Anyway, despite getting the timing slightly wrong the impact looked great on the tele.

I think overall the protest went down really well and succeeded in not being divisive which is always the danger with these things. Some nice comments from Arsenal fans too such as this on skysports:

On behalf of all Arsenal fans, Coventry fans you were absolutely magnificent. Cheered your team on till the last touch and class to the last as well. Was more than proud to applaud such a dignified protest. You are more than welcome back, any time.I just hope your situation resolves itself, no club deserves what has gone on there. VCC

I maintain that these sort of things get much more publicity and are much more effective than just not turning up, but that's a can of worms I won't open today.

I notice a few of the voices of reason on GMK are sniping about the protest...I really do wonder whether some of our 'fans' give 2 shiny shites whether we ever return to Coventry. As far as I'm concerned no real CCFC fan would've been anything but proud of that show of unity last night. We certainly have a fight on our hands to ever come home when you have Arsenal fans more passionately opposed to what has been done to our club than some of our so called own....

How the fuck can people not agree with the term 'Keep Coventry in Coventry'? I think they should take a long hard look at themselves.

I too was handing them out there were just fans there that didn't understand what it was about.
I had one bloke say to me I am a season ticket holder can I have one? My reply was if you want Cov back in Cov yes he dutifully took one.:D
Others said it all the fucking councils fault to which we replied well take one then as they are also to blame and it is a double pronged demonstration.

As for the timing it was off as the 6 pissed up lads in front of us just couldn't wait and as they held them up and started chanting it just cascaded around the ground really emotional and good to see a majority united for once.

Just want to say a big thank you and congratulations to Everyone for last night! We did ourselves proud!

Agreed. The protest was not aimed directly at sisu or the council, it was actually a protest about our football club and that it should be playing in the city of its name. Anybody not supporting that is either ignorant or stupid.

It was never going to be easy to orchestrate everyone - the clock didn't help either running down - required some basic mathematics to be done! Either way, whatever minute, getting all the City fans holding them up singing together is important.. Big props to Arsenal too

Have to agree - feel that certain people have now gone so far in taking their stance that the loss of face in any move away from it would be too embarassing for them to admit they may have backed the wrong horse. Some of the smug, sanctimonious, condescending baloney being trumpeted is unbeleivable.
The protest was spot on last night (despite backwards counting clock causing collective confusion !)
Yes, there is blame on all sides and, yes, disastrous decisions have been taken by all parties to arrive at where we now find ourselves but looking at the current situation and stance by all parties there is one party which, in my opinion, has not demonstrated one iota of consideration for its customer base and is beyond defence. At the very least a clear simple statement of their intent is the least we all deserve and the 12k Stadium of Shite in the land of make believe is not it.
Rant over.....

Cracking pictures above, 1st time seen them.

Big thanks to all involved from kcic in organising this. Plenty people handing them out last night we we're offered at least 3 lots. All of them can be very proud of themselves. Even had the instructions on the sheets for anyone that needed it :).

Hopefully now one of the big clubs have witnessed this and shown their support we can keep it in the spotlight and not just something that will be forgotten about by others come Monday.

Slightly different point here but ,there were a fair few empty seats not taken up in the Arsenal end. Obviously not all ST holders turned up ,so curious how Arsenal needed and sold the 3K. allocation that could have gone to us and would that have inflated the take or regular St's that sit in those seats took them up .:thinking about:

Arsenal have a scheme where supporters can sell there season tickets but not until they are sold out .. I wouldn't want to sit right at the top of that stadium ..
