Now I am completely confused

Tim Fisher in Telegraph saying there is no offer on the table. Gary has Coventry at his heart he has tried to find investors but cant find them. There are no discussions nothing. SISU are the only option

Keys is openly saying on the radio the offer is still there. National radio. I do not believe he is a liar, I do believe he loves Coventry.

Something is not right. my gut feeling is that Mr Fisher will be saying that the previous offer was not acceptable, hence there is no offer on the table.

Fisher has to apply to the board for a budget for next year, if they say no then I assume that is where this administration bit comes from?

What I need from the Coventry evening Telegraph

1) From Tom Fisher when will he apply for the budget, when will he get the answer. As we are probably the only football club going, who do not know if they have a budget for next year or not

2) If there is no budget what is the plan?

3) If the budget is smaller than required to go back up what is the plan?

4) If it is a decent budget what is the plan, i.e. new signings, loan players or just try and hold onto current squad?

5) What are you going to pro actively do to try and convince the council that you are trustworthy enough to have a share of the stadium. Otherwise this whole situation is pointless. That is the most important thing.

6) Gary Hoffman needs to be interviewed by CET. SISU have put it out there now. They are saying he does not have a bid. He has to reply.

7) Ask fisher why when he says mistakes were made in the summer by letting players go and not replacing them and that they know that now. If that is true I presume they knew this in January when we were bottom of the league. We had one chance of staying up keep Juke and bring in some loan players. Yet we sold Juke. If by then SISU had learnt why did they still sell Juke. We could have kept him for 4 months and sold him now. Is it a case that SISU do know you cant sell everyone you get an offer for however they still will do this anyway?

Richard Keys has already stated that he intends to get Hoffman onto his Radio show to explain once and for all what is going on, that should answer a few questions.

I believe Fisher is a SISU puppet just like Dulieu was, so I don't believe a word he says.

If there is anything going on then Hoffman will not appear on the radio as that would jeapordise any potential deal, so he would only appear if all deals were off with no chance of moving it forward, so I hope not to hear from him until SISU are gone.

Key's said the attempt before fell through so, technically, Fisher's not lying. He also said Hoffman still wants in. I don't believe anything that's said from either side anymore, but I understand Keys side more. I don't understand SISU. WHAT is their ultimate goal in all of this?

Keys s likely to exaggerate things because a) it makes for more entertaining radio and b) he may be trying to force something to happen by using a national platform.

I don't believe he would lie about something like this, but also if he is such good mates with Hoffman, he wouldn't be able to tell the whole truth for fear of jeopardising the deal.

Tim Fisher's largely evasive and vague comments in his interview were IMO designed to try and appease the fans. I would bet that he knows very little about SISU's plans. It seemed like he was admitting they made mistakes to hopefully curry some favour with us. Unfortunately for him, we've been lied to so many times that we just want some honesty. I'd have had a lot more respect for him if he'd come out and said 'there's a lot going on. I don't know what's going to happen' instead of feeding us some guff about a major restructuring that he either has no details of, or is not willing to explain to us.

If this is true, (and I have no reason to believe that you'd pluck it out of the air) what are we to do about protests? SISU out would be a disaster without a creditable bid on the table. SISU in is driving us round the twist.

I feel well and truly helpless and completely in the dark as to what is actually happening.

(That's not to say I don't believe you ashbyjan, but there are so many rumours flying around that it's difficult to know what to believe.)

You will recall I have been warning that SISU might liquidate the club, even just out of spite.

Talking with Fisher on behalf of the fans takes on an every greater import. For example, will more player sales generate sufficient income to cut the deficit and provide funding for another season?

So far it seems sisu rejects raising another penny, so Fishers task may well be to put together a budget that is self sustainable (at least cash-flow wise) ... which is pretty much what many have discussed on this board for the last year or more.

Out of interest, if SISU decided to pull the plug and liquidate the club, do we actually know what saleable assets the club owns?
The balance sheet to 31.05.10 (the last year submitted) shows tangible fixed assets of £1,272,227. Presumably this includes Ryton as a loan was taken out against it last year, which it was announced recently has now been paid back.
I'm guessing that this complex with all its land is worth considerably more than £1m.

SISU probably believe they are the injured party (I am not saying they are - this might be their perception).

No one has given them any credit for funding the club (again, I am not saying they are right) but they well may take this position.

This lack of gratitude is hardly going to make SISU sympathetic now.

Agree re: budgeting concerns. Player sales might just buy us another season.More time to get the wage bill down even further.

That has been the issue all along.

Given the choice between the future of the club and investment in the squad, it becomes simple.

We have been stuck for over a decade, trying to be competitive whilst all the time, stacking up debt and a deficit that have become unaffordable.

I genuinely believe Hoffman has no investment. That much is obvious. All this talk about him tabling a bid - nonsense. He may have opened tentative talks once upon a time but as far as I am aware there has been no formal bid. He is touting Coventry City to all and sundry in the hope someone might bite.

Hoffman needs to put up or shut up now as we cannot have him creating problems in the shadows as we enter next season.

If it is to be SISU then so be it. We move forward on that footing and serious restructuring takes place over the summer. We should take a leaf out of thew book of Charlton and use Div 1 as a spring board to rejuvenate the club.

Likewise if it is to be Hoffman, then great. Show us your money Gary and your business plan. If you have neither then go away and leave us alone.
