Obviously its depressing, the only plus side i can think of is that every (legitimate) away game might be a sell out!

Yes but surely we all know 'by the club' they mean the current distrusted owners. SISU have done a very good publicity job to engrain their deeds as deeds 'of the club' but people are not that stupid in reality.

Was the "offer to get back round the table" the press release that was aimed at councillors and not ACL?

Calm down dears, it just a grandstanding move...

Coventry City Football Club (the club) hasn't been locked out of anywhere (until such time as Arena Coventry Ltd say that they have).

The club (Coventry City Football Club Ltd) is in administration and the administrator should be running the show.

A sister-company (Coventry City Football Club (Holdings) Ltd) is trying to pretend that it is in charge of the club.

They are not. They have no legal role to play.

Arena Coventry Ltd have said they won't deal with this second company because they have no contract, dealings or relationship with them.

The lease agreement between ACL and the club was with a company that is now in administration.

***It APPEARS *** that ACL are more than happy to talk with the administrator about arrangements for next year; but the administrator has preferred to leave this to the sister-company contrary to company and insolvency law. This analysis may be wrong - but it is what appears to be the situation.

Things should become clearer when the administrator returns to the High Court later this month. Of course, it could become murkier, instead.

This, from last month, confirms the point I was making:

I wouldn't be so sure of this if I were you.
Unbelievably there are still a few who cannot see the wood for the trees. Hard to credit considering the evidence but I suppose clinging to the wreckage of a fallacy drawn on water
is easier for some than the truth.?

Would the league agree to a short-term groundshare until CCFC and ACL resolve row? I'm talking first few games if row rumbles on that long. Can't imagine they'd say no if administrator/SISU and ACL started to show some willing to get this resolved.

Don't see why we don't just sign any old contract to fool ACL-we can indulge in breaking it anyway.

That's not really a fact is it?

The club have an existing agreement that allows them to play there and an offer of much reduced terms & they're not prepared even to move forward even on that. It will certainly cost them much much more to move out as the crowds will plummet.

Anyway, as people point out the club is theoretically in the hands of the administrator.. what the frack is he doing about ensuring the club plays in Coventry next season?

Why not , if seen loitering around , give Timmy a slap. If enough of us slap him he may get a bit of sense knocked into him.

I support Coventry City. I don't support SISU or ACL. It's not difficult.

I do a 40 mile round-trip anyway, so if we moved somewhere near on a temporary basis then I'd still support my team.

Its a statement heavily laced with an attempt to make ACL look like the aggressor and SISU the victim- from an ever increasingly desperate organisation- woe is me? my arse!....Pathetic.

Why are SISU being locked out...........because......:thinking about:

This statement is nothing more than spin from Sisu mouthpiece Fisher.

They've been talking about ground sharing/building a new stadium for weeks so there's not really any new developments here.

It appears more like a publicity stunt - emotive phrases like 'being locked out' and 'no further room for negotiation' are merely feeble attempts to gain sympathy. It's pleasing to see that the majority of posters can see through the spin.

I wonder how much they paid their PR people for composing it?

Roll on May 16th - I'm not saying anything will be resolved, but at least there should be some genuine information about the true state Coventry City Football Club is in.

Everyone keeps mentioning May 16th as if the administrator will suddenly reveal all. There is a very good chance that all Mr Appleton will say is that it is very confused or complicated and he needs more time to complete investigations

Jack, the administrator doesn't appear to be doing anything to ensure anything.

This is precisely what I said the other day - SISU being denied the chance. I understand this from the council/ACL but it does not look good on them does it in so much as having he towns football interest at heart? They should instead find a way to negotiate some sort of terms, even temporary so the people they represent and those fans don't suffer. Semms likean obligation to me. Throwing your dummy around merely continues the nonsense while a stadium and football clubs future remains unclear. If the GS ends up in LTD and if the Haskell bid ever comes to fruition then that would not marr any temporary arrangement with SISU. Trouble is they are all acting like kids fighting in a play ground. I think I may need a bigger club, maybe even a baseball bat borrowed from our new American friend to bash all their heads together...

Being an administrator isn't really that hard. Just make sure nobody uses the N-word and delete spambot threads.

Wait, what?
