Shouldn't this be down to Appleton? Tim Fisher has nothing to do with club decisions currently surely? Sick of this mess. It needs to get sorted one way or the other. This is killing the soul of Coventry City slowly and surely.

Think fans will stop going in their thousands.

The thought of Coventry City FC playing anywhere else other than in Coventry is just plain idiotic.

And 'no alternative?' They could trying walking away and letting someone else take over.

TF says "The fact is that we are being locked out of the Ricoh Arena.", like it's a huge injustice.

Yes Tim, i wonder why ?
Is it because you haven't paid the rent for over a year and tried to push the landlords towards insolvency.
Guess that must have pissed them off...just a wild theory

Coventry City putting contingency plans in place for where it will play next season
Coventry City Football Club (CCFC) has confirmed that it is putting contingency plans in place regarding where it will play next season.

Tim Fisher, Chief Executive of CCFC said today: "The fact is that we are being locked out of the Ricoh Arena.

"We have been told that there is no further room for negotiation and an offer that we made to get back round the negotiating table has been rejected.

"It is with great regret that we now have no alternative but to consider other arrangements for next season and we would be failing the club, its supporters and its staff if we did not start making such plans now.

"The club is keeping the relevant football authorities fully informed of developments."

Reckon they put too much faith in the old "Charity begins at home" theory?!

so how can TF & CCFC H be locked out when they have no lease to be there?

The administrator is dealing with the lease which is in a company that is in administration or had you forgotten TF?

Why would they start thinking of the fans now ....... the fans havent exactly been at the fore front of their thoughts for the last 5 years?

Even in their announcement that they're looking for an alternative venue they can't help but put a bit of spin in there. Nobody's falling for the victim card any more Fisher. Pointless.

It's a popular place;
Peterborough United have held discussions with the landlords of Nene Park to explore the possibility of a move to the Northamptonshire stadium.
Posh's lease at London Road, which is owned by Peterborough City Council, expires next year.
And BBC Radio Cambridgeshire reports that Nene Park, 27 miles away from Peterborough, has been considered as an alternative home.

Its all posturing still by Fisher, it does say 'Contingency' ?! and in response to the OP, ACL I believe haven't said at all that they won't deal with the club...........they've said they won't deal with the hedge fund that tried unsuccessfully to distress their cash flow, there is a big difference !

Nene Park - home of the doomed Rushden & Diamonds, a club formed from the merger of Rushden Town and Irthlingborough Diamonds using Max Griggs (Doc Matrens owner) money. The ground is based in Irthlingborough, quite near to Finedon where there are a couple of pubs. Its about a 45 mile trip, down the A14, Cathorpe interchange can be a problembut on the whole an easy journey and possibly a lot easier than walsall. No trainline nearby, closest will be Wellingborough but not on the west coast line would have to go to Leicester via nuneaton, just too much hassle with inbreds on that journey. Would rather Northampton as that bit closer plus on cov train route, will only be going a few times if at Nene Park for the novelty, won't be a committed fan.

Indeed 'Contingency'...and there's the 'spin' 'get-out clause' right there that tells us nothing has changed. Just a lot of posturing from Fisher...sadly more like a boy whistling in the wind!

It's all bollocks. Do they really think this will come off . No support, rent still to pay on temporary home . Maybe make 5000 per week of food and beverages if whoever's ground we are sharing let us have that revenue. It's all bollocks Timmy . We know it and you know it . CCFC will be much worse off than they are now. If SISU had accepted the much publicised deal that was agreed in principle CCFC could have had 50 years at the Ricoh for the conservative estimate of £20 million for a new ground. F & B are nothing in the grand scheme of the financial situation and wouldn't even amount to the management charges and interest payments the SISU muppets are paying themselves to royally fuck the club up.
In my opinion SISU are using the club to make certain people lots of cash and channeling losses from other parts of the business into CCFC . The rent is a drop in the ocean compared to the rest of the shit going on. Timmy stop spinning your lies to the fans , man the fuck up and tell the truth.
