Both seemingly realizing there were not winners in this standoff; ACL had an empty football ground and Sisu had a club that had it remained 35 miles away would've ceased to exist. Well done the Council, and well done to the club for seemingly detoxifying the situation by removing Fisher and letting Waggott handle things. 2 years with an option of a further 2 is hardly ideal, but in 4 years time hopefully we've an owner who can afford to buy ACL's share or Sisu have run it in such a way the club is in a position to buy it. For now I don't care though, just wanna enjoy Gillingham in couple of weeks! Congrats everyone, it's been a nightmare but it's over, couple of beers for me tonight to celebrate

I hope this is the start of a common sense approach. I see this as the start of a trial period for SISU, where they have to build trust.

If they want the club to own the stadium and all its revenues they have to stop the hard ball stuff and find middle ground that benefits everyone.

I am still very wary of SISU after all they manipulated contracts & ownership to break the original contract, that was unethical behaviour IMHO. They also come with a load of debt and not inconsiderable interest payments, which I think may weigh heavily for a few years yet.

I believe, SISU have been beaten as a result of their own folly in believing they could take the fans to Northampton and the pressure of NOPM.
