Why on earth did we sign him?

No wonder the owners don't give the manager any money to spend.

The one time we spend over £1m we get Eastwood, then in our crisis we sign another player who isn't fit.

Are you sure he was an AT signing .I'm not ,more of a board move for me ,with little or no money involved ,juke to go the other way @ some point

I think it is a Thorn signing, we were linked with him constantly all summer.

I am not suprised he is on the bench, just because we signed him doesn't mean he has to play all the time. Thorn has to pick the best team on a game by game basis, we can't just play him to get his fitness up in our current situation as we need all the points we can get.
I am slighlty surprised he hasn't been coming on in games for 5/10 minute spells though.

If he isn't putting in an appearance by Saturday i'll be surprised.
AT says that he's ready to go now so lets wait & see

Chief Commentator!
AT says in the paper today he would have threw him on on Saturday, but because of the injury to Murphy and the strains to Wood and Thomas, he had no option but to use 3 alternatives!

He will come good (thats what I keep telling myself anyway)

McDonald was the cheap option for sisu.

cost half as much as what we sold turner for and is on less than half the money turner was on per week, perfect for the parasites as it ensured they got sum profit and the wage bill was reduced at the same time as shutting a few fans up for a few weeks as we actually signed a player!

Soz about this.. I agree with your post and normally hate to be the Grammer Police...but this does imply that Cody is a dirty little boy, only a bit sqeamish!

Give the lad a chance, he has shown glimpses of being a decent player, getting into the right positions and being quite lively. I think Thorn was probably a bit quick to throw him into the side and possibly could have given him more time to get his confidence and fitness up to scratch.

How does Cody get match fit sitting on the bench and not playing matches.

To get match fit you HAVE to play matches of any sort of any duration.

Simples surely

Give the guy a break, he's only played twice! You can hardly judge him already. And in both games i thought he looked good. The only decent player against Ipswich

I not been on this forum long and can't believe some of the things I read from so called fans, Slate any player every chance they get, call yourself fans you ought to be ashamed of yourself. The club is not in the best of shape but how is slating the players gonna help, were a championship side, a struggling one at that, we can't attract big name players or pay high wages agreed but for gods sake don't slate the players it's not their fault. Cody is a proven goal machine in the lower leagues and I am sure when he gets fit will do the business for us. Give the lad a chance and judge him when he fails not when he hasn't had a chance. The club is going through tough times and anyone who slates our beloved CCFC is either uneducated or not a true fan.

Coming soon to a cinema near you...Cody McDonald is James Bond in "He's Only Played Twice" :D

He'll probably have to lose a little weight for that role, too. Nah I'm kidding, I'm sure he'll contribute once he's worked off the puppy fat. He'll have a battle getting the shirt of Big Clive if he keeps up Saturdays form, mind.
