Statement in response to today's offer from Gary Hoffman
Please see below a response to today's offer from Gary Hoffman regarding the Ricoh Arena:

“ACL's position to date has been that they don't recognise us as the Football Club's lawful owner and hence have consistently refused to talk to us so I don’t know what authority Mr Hoffman has to bind ACL into any future agreement.

"Besides which, there has been no detail behind these proposals which were only put to the Club by phone last night.

"We wouldn’t want to raise fans’ hopes given that the main source of income whilst playing at the Ricoh was ticket receipts and it certainly doesn’t make sense to describe the deal as an "offer to pay arena rent"” when actually the deal is a loan secured against ticket sales resulting in the club giving away a huge chunk of ticket revenues, our only revenue stream."

gotta say, their responses are getting less and less "corporate"

They are rattled..Its time for the FL to step up and finish this Northampton idea off !

Seems like theve cobbled this very quickly with a considerable amount of hesitation . With the football league looking on perhaps the Hoffs got them on the back foot. They can't reject outright , wait for them to play the usual card .
In the next couple of days they will make a counter offer that will stretch Hoff to the limits and add a few more conditions. When the Hoff says no deal , sisu will walk away and say " see! We can't deal with them. Can't be sure like, but it wouldn't surprise me .

Pathetic response seems as by their own admission we will be almost fanless at Northampton for the next 5 years...where the feck is the revenue going to come from for that!

He really is an amateur - Gary Hoffman is.
How can he forget that formal proposals must be delivered on letter headed paper.

Pathetic response by Fisher! The deal would increase the club's income substantially over the next 3 years to allow it to be invested in the team and raise the players' wages cap.

It would also appease the vast majority of the fans.

But then, it is now obvious, beyond doubt, that the last thing SISU are interested in is the football team or the fans!
