Chief executive Tim Fisher issues statement regarding recent ACL release
Coventry City Football Club chief executive Tim Fisher has released a statement in response to recent reports regarding yesterday evening's statement from ACL.

Fisher said: “Unfortunately, this is one eventuality we have had to prepare for since ACL formally ended negotiations.

“We are consulting with our professional advisers in order to find the best way forward to try to minimise the damage to the club and we will be keeping supporters informed of any developments.

“In terms of the day to day affairs, it is business as usual as we have to make sure we are all fully focused on Saturday’s important game against Hartlepool United.”

Which would infuriate many of the anti-SISU types on here who have said they do not want that to happen.

I'm confused. If you are anit-SISU, do you want them to pay up and retain control, or not pay and likely ruin our chances next season?

When the admin decision is made we will more than likely know whether we will be promoted or not.

So what exactly do you expect them to say at this time in a press release then?

I think the labels don't help. I'm vehemently anti-SISU (you may have been able to tell!). But really I'm not. I'm against the way they've gone about getting what they want.

As stated on another thread, I don't think they really wanted a rent reduction. I don't think they even wanted a rent reduction plus match-day income. They wanted ACL, and the whole £8m business they've put together over 7 or 8 years. This to feather the nest of their exit strategy from a gamble that's gone oh-so-badly-wrong.

If they have to realise tha sensible and measured negotiation is the way forward; and if they've the only gig in town, and if they start to genuinely put the club first; then I'm pro-SISU - because they're intrinsically 'the club'

I am anti liquidation pro CCFC. So I suppose that must make me anti SISU?

i never put us in this mess i pay my money and support the team i just want it sorted one way or another IMO Acl have the backing of the council and sisu dont which makes Acl in control of the situation.Sisu said they could liquidate ccfc so are the sort of owners we want? could acl and higgins trust run the club as they already make money from the stadium.

First off what else would we expect him to say....... it is short sharpe and to the point

Chief executive Tim Fisher issues statement regarding recent ACL release
Coventry City Football Club chief executive Tim Fisher has released a statement in response to recent reports regarding yesterday evening's statement from ACL.

Fisher said: “Unfortunately, this is one eventuality we have had to prepare for since ACL formally ended negotiations. well i would hope so, i would also expect that they covered the eventuality of they themselves putting the club in to admin or liquidation, to not do so would show complete incompetence.

“We are consulting with our professional advisers in order to find the best way forward to try to minimise the damage to the club and we will be keeping supporters informed of any developments. I would question whether that is minimise the damage to the club or whether it is minimise damage to their investors/SISU. TF's first duty as a director is to act in the best interests of the club not its investors/stakeholders, was threatening liquidation in the best interests of the club? As for keeping fans informed...... really?

“In terms of the day to day affairs, it is business as usual as we have to make sure we are all fully focused on Saturday’s important game against Hartlepool United. so until saturday at least the club is unaffected and it carries on as if nothing has happened. Cleft stick for SISU really have to continue funding the club(including fighting against ACL) or accept defeat and crystallise a loss to investors of £45m

TF has said what he could and probably should imo

I just wish that both sides in this argument would realise that CCFC is a football club. This means that it is a club that plays football. IT DOES NOT MEAN THAT IT IS A CLUB TO PLAY FOOTBALL WITH! Please excuse the bad grammar.
