Yes, they probably do care. A golden share and the name Coventry City is probably worth more than, say, with the name Rushden and Diamonds. I think they should forfeit the name CCFC if they no longer want to play in Coventry. It leaves the name CCFC free for a successor team to be formed. SISU ( ML ) have already maligned the City Council in public and are bad for the image of Coventry, so I would not loose any sleep if they had to drop the name "Coventry" ( proviso - there is no chance of returning to Coventry ).
