wonder if players are told they are being transferlisted too? From what im aware of they go in for their final 'warm down' session, have a group meeting about the overall season etc
Then they are free to do what they like until 1st July, but within reason, as they are given a weight and body fat target to come back within.
Most of the squad tend to go away end of May (co inciding with half term school holidays for those with kids) for 2 or 3 weeks and indulge in a few beers, a kebab or 2 and why not, but as I say they have a target the club sets them to come back within
Those who will be being let go will have already been told
Is there even a transfer list?wonder if players are told they are being transferlisted too?
there is on football maanager gamesIs there even a transfer list?
Footballers are hyper professional these days, spme of them have done their own pre pre season warm weather training camps previously. It's not like years ago where they went on the piss for 6 weeks and came back overweight.
i imagine they want a breakWhich makes you wonder about the benefit of sending them away for six weeks really. Why not have them in training if they’re going to be doing it anyway, even if at a more relaxed pace and the ability to take a holiday.

Six weeks seems a bit long though. Why not a couple of two weeks or something. Or at least offer something within the club over that time.

They spend enough time at the club as it is. Some fans would have them training every day They need a break from the club environment. Remember they work most weekends, Bank Holidays and Christmas as it is.
It's not all about physical fitness. Football is mentally fatiguing. It also involves a lot of travel.
Have you heard who's been let go ?From what im aware of they go in for their final 'warm down' session, have a group meeting about the overall season etc

Just seems silly to have them all doing individual training while the club is sat there.
they started on pitch replacement at Ryton on Monday so unless they just want to do gym work there's no point them being there.Just seems silly to have them all doing individual training while the club is sat there.

When do we officially announce who is going?
If you work full time, I don't think footballers do, do they? How longs a normal training day? I know it's not 8 hours and nors a home match day.Because it's a legal requirement to be given just less than 6 weeks leave (including bank holidays) and they don't get holidays during the season including all of the coaching staff.
Same for teachers?Six weeks seems a bit long though. Why not a couple of two weeks or something. Or at least offer something within the club over that time.

TBF to them they work over Christmas and Easter so need a break from itSix weeks seems a bit long though. Why not a couple of two weeks or something. Or at least offer something within the club over that time.

Yep, looking forward to my break too tbh although I would have liked just one more ...It's not all about physical fitness. Football is mentally fatiguing. It also involves a lot of travel.
