Which makes you wonder about the benefit of sending them away for six weeks really. Why not have them in training if they’re going to be doing it anyway, even if at a more relaxed pace and the ability to take a holiday.
From what im aware of they go in for their final 'warm down' session, have a group meeting about the overall season etc
Then they are free to do what they like until 1st July, but within reason, as they are given a weight and body fat target to come back within.
Most of the squad tend to go away end of May (co inciding with half term school holidays for those with kids) for 2 or 3 weeks and indulge in a few beers, a kebab or 2 and why not, but as I say they have a target the club sets them to come back within

Because they are like school children, most of them have had 6 week summer holidays since they were 5 years old, they've literally never experienced anything else.
It's not like many of them have ever done a weeks proper work.
