Do you think the council will sell this prime site without seeing detailed plans? I never once mentioned planning permission! Numpty? Pot and kettle fella.
No I don't expect the council to sell anything without detailed plans. I would expect negotiations and questions from the council. Hopefully that is what the meetings are about...
My question remains, why draw up detailed plans, if the land isn't available for sale?
What were the plans you had to submit that were 1/2 inch thick before your extension? (Genuine question as I assumed it was the planning application...)

If anyone wants to stand in an election as a CCFC candidate I dont mind chipping in with some of the costs. I cannot stand as I live outside the boundary.

A good showing wouldnt get them out this year, but they would be changing their chance pretty quick if they thought they would lose their seat next time around.

Power is all they want. Probably bullied at school.
Doesn’t cost anything but the deadline has passed

No which is exactly why you have a forward contract which will be what has been requested of the council hence the request 'only' being the length it is.

A price is agreed as well as a timeframe for planning to be submitted and approved. Once the approval is obtained the sale is completed.

A very common process, the council have done exactly that for Wasps with car park C at the Ricoh. No hotel plans have been submitted yet there is an agreement to lease Wasps the land once permission is obtained.

Get Tim Fisher to stand, that would rattle a few cages!

We had to have a lot, bat clear report, another report as we have neighbouring oak trees that are protected due to there age that the new foundation wouldn't interfere with their roots as well as all the normal structural engineer, architects plans etc. We also had to prove we could fit 5 cars on our drive! That left me the most baffled.

It is a good sign that Coventry Labour may be changing.

I see Cllr Damian Gannon former cabinet member for cluster bombs is stepping down at this election.

Basically its the beginning of the end of the 'New Labour' project.

The councils, particularly in the West Midlands, are where they are making their last stand.

In Coventry you literally have two right wing groups vying for control of the local Labour group.

I think its an open secret that the more right wing of the two groups are trying to oust Duggins as Leader and get one of their own in.

It just depends on the numbers.

After the local elections should be interesting to see if Duggins and Mutton survive in their current roles.

Are you sure? In most Labour areas its Momentum that are getting members in, deselecting more moderates. The Labour party is going far more left wing, as per Corbyn.

Have you noticed any change in Coventry Labour?

Momentum are on the march slowly but surely. In three or four years time Coventry Labour will be proper red.

I believe Duggins is not up for re-election and is retiring?

I thought the euphemism is, 'doing a PhD'.

Be aware of this man - John McNicholas - knocking your door in Lower Stoke.

Yep, he's up for election.

I see he is one of the few Labour candidates that has a socialist group running against him.

You've lost me on the "doing a PhD" sorry!

You know the name of the socialist group, at all?

The bullying allegations surrounding Coventry City Council and the sudden stepping down of Cllr Jayne Innes as member for City Services to do a PhD.

The groups name is, 'Socialist Alternative'.

I remember reading something about the allegations online.

I must dig them out. They are saved somewhere.

There’s your unanimous vote to let wasps have the stadium.

Unfortunately Cllr Jayne Innes is not up for election this year but we will have to have a look through all the candidates and see if anyone is worth voting for.

it makes you wonder why turnout is so low given this calibre of candidates for Labour.
