I can assure you this won't happen.Certainly needs to lose his seat come May elections
CCFC go then Duggins has to go!Certainly needs to lose his seat come May elections
You are correct Harry. It’s those “experts” behind the scenes and names we will probably never know who influence things. But the very least that should happen is where is there a suitable piece of land to build a stadium. If it isn’t the Woodlands site is there another. I would think that’s all sisu want to know surely. Sepalla has said find us suitable land to build on and we drop the legals.
I can assure you this won't happen.
Because he is not up for election in May.

To be fair to Cllr Duggins, the application for Woodlands (has a kind of a ring about it, don't you think?) or anywhere else, and pre-application advice would all have been handled by the planning officers. The councillors only get to see it when it goes to Planning Committee, and then for ratification (of an application of this size) to the full council. The exception will be the ward councillors (including Gary Ridley for Woodlands) who are included in the statutory consultation process.
That is not to say that senior councillors are not able to exert influence over the appointed officers ...
Get Labour out of Coventry then.I can assure you this won't happen.

As the Conservatives are supporting Labour actions on Ricoh, Wasps etc. you'll need a third way if that's your beef - Lib Dem or Green, with the occasional communist or racist in some seats. If the people of Coventry stopped voting like their fucking Grandfather's .... automatically for Labour the likes of Lucas, Duggins and Geoffrey Robinson wouldn't have been able to piss in their chips.
I said in another thread, it wouldn’t surprise me if the full facts weren’t known or undue pressures were put on people to get a unanimous vote. Surely at least a few would have voted against it if the full picture was available. As the Conservatives are supporting Labour actions on Ricoh, Wasps etc. you'll need a third way if that's your beef - Lib Dem or Green, with the occasional communist or racist in some seats.
It can also work the other way. What threat had SISU made that pushed the entire council to vote for said deal, without any rebellion? What was so insidious about SISU's dealings nobody wanted to stand apart?I said in another thread, it wouldn’t surprise me if the full facts weren’t known or undue pressures were put on people to get a unanimous vote. They’re not sheep who blindly follow though. Surely some would have looked into it a bit before following suit.It can also work the other way. The council elections was tryed back in 2014 against Ann Lucas, it’s a shame it isn’t been tryed again! If anything to get a voice in the council chamber!
Which proves my hypothesis as much, if not more, than yours. What was so traumatic about the situation as was, that persuaded everybody (everybody!) to fall into line? They’re not sheep who blindly follow though. Surely some would have looked into it a bit before following suit.
Blair tactics. WMD. Feed people just enough information (true or not) to make a decision but not enough to make the correct one.Which proves my hypothesis as much, if not more, than yours. What was so traumatic about the situation as was, that persuaded everybody (everybody!) to fall into line?
And what difference would that make ? He’s not even up for re-election this time.If this club moves out of the city I want Duggins OUT.
Wasps are doing a fine job of finishing them self’s off we just need to eccelarate there demise sooner.
Are you being a numpty on purpose? The council are/have been playing twats without a doubt but SISU have put in a couple of pages about a stadium build to the council which has been treated the contempt it deserves. I had an extension on my house and paperwork handed into the local council had to be 1\2 an inch thick before they considered it.
Get Labour out of Coventry then.
They have bee. Here how long? And what have they done to show for it?
Tories in.

SISU won't be submitting plans until they have an agreement to buy the proposed site.
Else they would waste hundreds of thousands of pounds planning the build, then be beholding to the council not just for the planning permission, but to agree the land sale / long lease as well.
Get the sale price agreed now, then look for planning permission.
