Listened on the way back. Used to look forward to hearing Clive's reactions and commentary of the goals. Rob's were a bit flat.

Who’s that tit on in the morning who also knows f-all about football and keeps rattling on about cycling?

Despite Clive's "occasional" problems with players' names the state of CWR now shows us how good he really was. He ran and held that show together for the past 20 odd years. Oggy is a particular good summariser (allowing for where he's coming from sometimes) but you need somebody who can hold a proper conversation with him at or close to his level about the game, as well as someone who was as passionate in his commentary as Clive. With Radio you have to imagine being blind and ask yourself if the commentator is actually describing the game in any meaningful way or just talking about what is in front of them.

We’ve lost something real here with Clive leaving. He wasn’t perfect and certainly was not good at questions to the manager. But he was an informed commentator who had a real affinity for our team - and it showed in the passion. Iconic moments on the mic. And he was there for every step on our 20 year journey. We need him back - it’s not the same. It’s a joke if anyone believes the replacements are a step up.

A good reason why I wanted the cup final or promotion. He deserved to see us get to those levels for all the shite he had commentated on. By the end he was just as big a fan as usual.

Id often opt to listen rather than watch on an unreliable stream but cant see myself doing that anymore.
Rob Gurney's a better commentator than pundit and
he and Oggy seem to get on fine - that'll do for me. I don't know why the powers that be feel the need to throw in anyone else. Lorna's inanities add nothing, making the broadcast almost unlistenable. Clive is a huge miss.
