I wouldn't worry too much. Knowing our Clive, he probably means next season.

What a legend. That roar from the crowd when him and Oggy came on the screen at Wembley against Man Utd will live long in the memory.

I really hope he reconsiders over the summer. An outstanding commentator!
Probably difficult to reconsider when cat is out of bag. Odd timing, could have left it 2 weeks.

In the same way I wished for Liam Kelly to get his premier league moment I also wish for Clive to get the same. A Wembley appearance to finish would be highly fitting for someone who has been through the divisions with us and fully deserves to call the promotion of it is achieved

Absolute legend and a huge part of the whole city supporting experience since relegation from the Prem. We take the mick about his mistakes and quirks but anyone who listens to other teams commentary when forced to by the dodgy fire stick knows just how lucky we are and how much he sticks out head and shoulders above other local radio commentators.

Definitely needs a song on Friday at what’s his last home game regardless.

Find this pretty sad and can't imagine listening to matches with anyone else on commentary.

The dynamic between Oggy and Gurney isn't quite there and Bailey is terrible to listen to in any capacity.

End of an era - but wow have been fortunate to have it good for so long.

If you're listening on the radio, you might never really be sure who's got the ball, or even who the opposition are, but some of his commentary is genuinely iconic.

He's also knowledgeable (though not necessarily of who is who), and whilst wanting us to win, not partisan to the point of losing objectivity (and this is a really big deal in local radio).

He's great, and I will miss him.

Genuinely like Clive

And a bit of random ITK info, the club do too. Staff and players

Sad he is leaving hope he gets to commentate on us reaching the premier league
Glad you've passed that on, when I saw this I had a horrible feeling that FL might have given him some bad vibes (due to recent form) and there was some kind of problem.

Will really miss Clive, his double act with Oggy has brought some brilliant moments - the gaffs are a laugh of course, but his does convey the passion, both when we win and when we balls up. For a "neutral" commentator he really seems like one of our own. Hope it's his decision and not a forced one, I'll be really p'd off if thats the case.

Think Clive’s days were numbered once Gurney returned to CWR sadly. Been slowly squeezed out.

Loved Gurney back in the 90’s, but haven’t really warmed to him since his return.
Gurney is awful and a miserable negative sod.

Can’t believe Clive is leaving, as an overseas fan this is actually a really big deal and very sad!

Agree. I’d like to see (hear) a completely new line up with only Oggy retained. Even the back ups/occasionals are crap. Not sure who the bloke was who did the phone in last night but I had to turn off after 10 mins, proper grating.

Does this mean we are no longer going to “Scramble it away”?
I will genuinely miss him, he is part of the skyblue ship that sails. Great enthusiasm and his mistakes make me chuckle but that’s Clive for you!

Or, "Stops. Checks".
