Didn't your mate LBB get that from John williams?

Also, don't you think that Clingan would be on similar as Bell & Baker as perceived senior pros in the squad?

No way are Baker and Bell on 8k p/w, Baker 3k, Bell 5k would be my guesses.

What's wrong with Deegan? I think he is the type of gritty man we need in league 1. Not technically good, but he'll let you know you need to watch your back.

I think his main gripe from what I have read is that he is very injury prone and we can't afford to be carrying injury prone players in our squad

That's a fair point, but unlike Baker, Bell and Clingan, when fit I think Deegs is quite a useful "tool".

He never plays, he might as well be sat next to in the stands for half of the season, In these tough financial times we find ourselves in, we need to squeeze every penny. having someone who never players we might as well just flush a wad full of cash down the toilet every week.

But we do need back ups and squad rotation. I think he is a valuable squad member.

Of course we need backs up, but if your back up is injury prone what then? a back up for the back up? Ship em out, bring in (on frees) 4 solid league one center midfielders. This isn't the time to be pally with players. If Andy Thorn doesn't want any excuses next season, he needs to get rid of as many players as possible and build a team for league one.

There will be quite a few gone before the start of the season, looks like the same as last year. Less players, no new players and same manager.

Take a pill. Lets be positive from now on. We have to get rid of these high earners first (and maybe unwanted anyway) then we can rebulid with enthusiastic players.

Clingan is going. Great news he is shite. They all are. I'm happy to hear players are leaving 1 or 2 a day every day now for a couple of weeks. Lets hope the coaches, the deadwood andy the large woman in the ticket office go too.

If we are to bounce straight back up, we need to build a team for the Championship. That way, promotion would be almost assured.

Back in the real world, they didn't want to fund Championship players in the Championship, what makes you think they'll do it in league one?

I would disagree, this is the worst bunch of players I've ever watched wear our colours, no passion, no determination, no fight. I think we're going in only one direction with these players.

I believe that AT could find players in D1 (and perhaps D2) that could play in the Championship. I didn't mean get players from the Championship but get players that could play there.

I think you're probably right, his scouting record is patchy for me, but there are plenty that would be able to step up to the Championship level from League one & two. It's just bringing them in for the right price.

Good.. SIMPLES
I think he was one of the players that A.T was having a dig at when he said "he only wants players up for the fight"
Sammy and FIGHT dont go together.

Yes, but those posts were clearly wrong. If 8k is the most we can possibly stretch to-and that isn't new, it was revealed in January when we first made Sammy and Cranie contracts. Baker is probably on 3-4k p/w.

As and when the club file their accounts then we will be able to come up with realistic figures-at the moment it's guesswork and hear/say which leads people down the garden path a bit.

As disappointing as Clingan has been, wouldn't you choose him ahead of Bell every day of every week. The extension of Bell's contract angered me as much as anything that has happened this season. To be a successful midfield player you need at least ONE of the following:
1. Ability to break up play and win the ball (Bell avoids physical confrontation by hiding in games)
2 Ability to create goals for other players (one assist only this year)
3. Ability to score goals (Bell scores one goal every two or three years.)
Why oh why extend his contract?

in my humble opinion, the frustrating /annoying things are,
too many malingerers,
a surplus of average players,
players moved on with no explanation,
no real captain since Dennis Wise,
no accounts filed,
and continued sporadically vague or dubious information communicated by the controllers

Sorry to see Sammy go but it was inevitable given our financial plight and relegation.
Sammy is one of a long line of central midfielders given stick by our fans and made a scapegoat for poor performances of the team.

No evidence he cared less than others
He did no more than Westwood, Gunnar and others running down his contract.

Who will be our centre mid next season? No doubt we will slag him off if he stays for more than 2 seasons.

I think in fairness when you carry a team for so long eventually your motivation drops which is why the move is probably good for both parties

I think when you know you'll be leaving in the summer from the start of the season you decide you can't be bothered until you realise you need to put in a few good performances to earn a decent move elsewhere.

Another mifsud thinks he's better than he actually is. Not sorry to him go. I hope keogh stays on as I think div 3 I'd right for him. But he really is the only half decent player we have.

Clingan was the worst excuse for a captain I've seen in my 10 years following City. Good luck to whichever team is stupid enough to take him (rumour has it down here that BHA are keen).

will be interesting to see where sideways sammy goes,
will also be interesting to see what happens to those others who were awarded extended contracts,
of course, we dont know who awarded those contracts, or, made those offers,
the malaise is that, we, as fans, are continually kept in the dark,
to recall the halcyon days of JH & Derrick Robbins,
those indeed were the days when the owner & manager had faith & trust in each other
