On the 'interesting-ometer'

1. Sisu sell to a new owner
2. Sisu return to the Ricoh and accept a great long term rent deal
3. Sisu return to the Ricoh on a great temporary rent deal while negotiating further

323. Tim Fisher oils fairy tale plans of a new stadium, no one wants, beside Ian (Smunt) Palmer, the late Les Reid and 3 of his twitter mates.

I think everyone needs to calm down and not get too excited.

The news may be "thrilling" more than thrilling.

I'd take a step back folks.

Ask yourself what are SISU up to.

Answer, playing a game of 'hearts & minds' with the fans & ACL/CCC

This is another server from SISU in an attempt to convince the gullible that they are serious about building a stadium.

It's probably some architects drawing of what their 'new stadium' will look like, it probably cost them a few hundred quid to put together.

TF or ML will appear on TV, spouting rubbish about how it's for the benefit of all the fans, a community asset and how it's going to earn money from the F&B for the benefit of CCFC.

I won't be fooled by it.........

If that's what Its all about then Radio Northampton would be the wiser choice for Airing It. In fact a pre-match presentation on the Pitch prior to kick off would suffice . I mean this If Is as Predicted Is just an excercise in Re-habilitation for Fisher ,He can't get Oxygen otherwise.

We're no longer on a one in one out transfer policy, and Tim has given Pressley £100million to spend as he wishes!

Over the past 6-12 months, I've become very despondent about everything CCFC so I'm not going to get too over excited about the prospect of 'possible news'.

I'd love us to be back at the Ricoh, as most would, however I can't see it! Unless all the 'she won't talk / respond to our efforts' was all a big bluff, and Ann and Joy did actually begin talks and successful ones at that.

More chance of the club narrowing the new stadium location down to one.....

Arena 2000 might happen yet!

If its just about new stadium designs/plans, why would senior members of the trust go along with this embargo?

To me that suggests the trust aren't hostile to whatever the news is, otherwise someone would leak it.

can you blame the trust for not leaking it? after recent events.

like I said I doubt it is as thrilling as people are making out.

Same reason everyone else is? Wishing to keep the club onside? Especially after the recent media onslaught.

Fair enough the trust don't need to leak it if they have said they won't, bigging it up if it is shite is a bit harsh though.

But then why even mention it?

Most of us don't believe this stadium will be built, and the trust are no different in that respect.

Why therefore even bother commenting on it? If it is that then its a bit of a non story really.

Course a lack of tweets full-stop, sarcastic or no, would have probably been even better...

All this only a few days after a poll of over 1500 fans says only 2.2% believe SISU will build a new stadium.. coincidence?

New stadium plans - the site being the old Hinckley ground.
That's my guess :jerkit:

Well to be fair, even CWR & ITV said something good was coming. I'd imagine a bit of buzz, which is exactly what this is, is one of the better PR things to happen to Sisu recently. Also, maybe it's not sarcastic and the Trust are intent on improving relations, maybe involvement with the consultation group, I don't know.

It's not like anyone's leaked a blurred smartphone picture of the ground or anything, just everyone's anticipating an announcement tomorrow morning.

If it was massive news do you think the press radio and tv would sit on it....no...so they try and tantalise us.

Some now saying on this thread that it's just going to be new stadium designs not site and not Ricoh and same being said elsewhere so the big story looks like yet another damp squib. I'm absolutely sick to death of this

Im more interested in the location if its true or are they to shit scared to tell us where itll be?

They may end up having to build something somewhere ,but If they can make It unacceptable enough, well a herd of desolate fans pleading for the RICOH sure means they don't have to do the Crawling to CCC.

No-one should of got there hopes up in the first place. This is CCFC, none of the fans have hairlines... our tragic past 15 years shows that.

Just got in, a quick hello to Mrs H (busy doing governors minutes), then I say - 'just going to log on to see the latest on the City.....'

...Mrs H: 'Why, what's happening?' (not a football fan..although knows an inevitable bit about City due to Mr H's obsession).

...Mr H: 'Rumour about a new ground being built in the Coventry area to be announced tomorrow'

...Mrs H (puzzled) 'Why build a new one when there's already one in Coventry?' ..................GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

....and now I know that she doesn't listen to most of what I say when I occasionally try to explain our current position :facepalm::facepalm::D

It'll probably be announcing that those that stand on Jimmy's Hill demanding a return to Coventry are to be granted their wish. The bulldozers move in tomorrow & the Hill is to be reconstructed at some SISU purchased land in the City...but fans will have to pay to stand on it lol

Talk of excitement, thrilling etc. seems a bit pathetic to me - they had no right to do what they've done in the first place, there should be no excitement even if they did announce a return to where we should never have left, there should only be anger that this ever happened

Can't you just ask CJ? Aren't you in the same organisation?
