We won't be next season when Hamer, Gyokeres and O'Hare leave. This has the Mowbray season missed opportunity written all over it.

Even he brought some players in in January. I mean they were utter shite, but the intent was there.

It’s almost like scoring a stoppage time winner every week isn’t a sustainable way to finish in the top 6.

Fairly sure this time last year you were saying we'd be relegated

We miss Godden massively. The timing of his injury was so unfortunate. I bet he would have thrived in games like this.

To stand a chance of even an upper mid-table/top 10 we need to go on a run in these Feb games as the end run In is awful. Tonight we should have started that but we can't finish.

If we don't put Reading away then I'll be very concerned.

Every other team who won tonight had a goal scorer who was either a midfielder or a defender. That’s where our problems are.

Jake Bidwell is fucking dross.
Why doesn’t Robin’s give Tavares 10 minutes?
Why does Robin’s watch Shipley give an unbelievable performance from full back then insist on playing him in midfield?
What is the point of O’Hare?

So many questions

I have another question.
Why are you such a moron?

Apart from the balance of a lefty, I can't understand how Shipley started ahead of Allen. Then in the second half the way the game progressed, it was shouting out for Allen's introduction. It dumbfounds me.

I'm not sure.

Obviously Godden is a great finisher but he often struggles to impose himself otherwise.

If we went one up top tonight and it was golden I think we struggle without Gyokeres' physicality. If we play them as a two Gyokeres seemingly doesn't have a goal threat.

We’ve played a lot better as a team since Godden got injured, but we’re utterly pathetic in front of goal.

No it doesn't, we should have been automatic that season and probably had one of the highest budgets in the league.

This season we've probably got a bottom 5 budget and a top half finish would be a fantastic achievement.

Frustrating not to win today, we were the better team but blackpool are well coached, another manager doing a minor miracle with a limited bunch of players.

If this season is a missed opportunity. Who are people pinning the blame on? Robins? The players? The board?

Mostly on the board. Robins' decision making at times has been questionable by his own admission but what's going on now it's so clear what is missing and little effort has been made to remedy it.

Worst standard Championship there has ever been and we’re going to blow it. I’m not like the vast majority of city fans, I can’t settle for mid-table given our start and how bad this league is.
What makes you think the league is that bad? Which previous league are you comparing it to? I thought Blackpool were a decent side, and most teams in this league can play. Bowler was a handful, and the two big forwards were difficult, thought our defence did well. I thought their goal was well worked on the break. We were the better team first half, struggled for the first twenty five minutes of the second half, (looked leggy, lacking in energy) and then came back strongly, and could/should have won it at the death. Someone mentioned our composure in front of goal, and Gyokeres and Godden apart, we do lack composure. Hamer had all the time in the world to take a touch and slot it past the keeper, snatched at it. Overall, satisfied with the result given the way the game panned out. Some comments on here about us not having made progress this year, we are a far better team than we were last season.

If we end up finishing below where we did last season then I’m definitely not buying the usual ‘the division is weaker than it’s ever been’ cliche. How anyone could watch this team and say it’s not miles ahead of last year’s side (Wilson in goal, Hyam at LCB, Biamou up front etc) is in dreamland.

I don’t really get it either. We’ve had 3 big teams come down from the Prem and Blackpool come up who’ve had no threat to being shite either.

Derby with their 21 point deduction and most of the season with pensioners at centre back have a very good shot at staying up.

Look at what he’s achieved in his career there could be no end of reasons he’s not settled in yet. Solid in the tackle, can run, can pass. Just confidence for me you don’t become shit just cause you sign for us

Credit to Blackpool. One of the best to come to the Ricoh. Had a good, some positive football throughout.

Fans were excellent too. Again, best to come to us.

I wouldn't even say it was the board, they are still just working from the budget set by the owners.

The problem is that we have owners that are completely disinterested in how we fare as a football team and didn't take the one golden opportunity presented to them.

To be fair the owners are probably none the wiser and don’t even know what division we are in

All he does is wander out of position and play five yard balls. I’ve not seen him make a decent tackle or pass yet in what? 4 games? He was exactly the same against us for Swansea but they play possession football higher up the pitch so it’s not as noticeable.

He’s not the right player for us IMO and we’re stuck with him until pension age because we got excited we could sign someone who has played at this level. The best players we have are those we’ve brought up, arguably the worst we have are those “experienced Championship players”.

Then why aren't the board and Robins hammering it home just how close we are/were to the play offs?

Should be giving them the financial data of a play off challenge. Even an unsuccessful result in the play off would be a sell out home match and a sell out Wembley.

No consistency at all. One minute you can hang off someone the next it’s a yellow for marginal contact.

Board 100%. The problem is the size and quality of our squad, not what we’re doing with them.
