Sponsorship Talks On-Going
Coventry City are in talks with three companies about becoming the club's shirt sponsors, Covsupport News Service has been told.
The club, who have lost a few sponsors due to the move by Tim Fisher and SISU of the club to Northampton, are in advanced talks with one company about a deal and have two others interested in having their name on City's new kit which should be out well before Christmas.
There have been suggestions that City have the name of a charity on their shirts until the deal is sorted but Tim Fisher told the Coventry Telegraph's Simon Gilbert: “The charity idea has been suggested and it is a very positive suggestion which we will look at.
“However, at the moment we are negotiating with a potential sponsor over a corporate sponsorship deal which we are hopeful will come to fruition.”

Which sponsor would you like to see on the shirt?

1.) NOPM

2.) KCIC

3.) MARMITE SISU

I like Marmite Sisu, helps divide us even more.

Surely, a shirt sponsor was 'to be announced within 10 days' a month ago according to Fisher?

Now, we're in talks with a 'potential sponsor' and 'hopeful'?!?

And in the interim, we're playing in last year's kit with gaffer tape on the front?!?

Are these talks as advanced as the deal to buy Brandon?

Three is the magic number

There are three potential sites for a new stadium and three potential corporate sponsors for the shirts and club. Apparently this is all being negotiated by three wise monkeys!

I wouldn't sponsor coventry city at the moment if I ran a company, you are just as likely to lose business as gain it. I personally will never use the products again of any Company that sponsors ccfc while we play in northampton.

""Mr Fisher said: “The charity idea has been suggested and it is a very positive suggestion which we will look at" ..........but for it to be acceptable to us we must have at least 80% of their revenue. To date we have three charities in mind so we have applied for a judicial review so as they are in no doubt we mean to see it through.:pointlaugh:

There seems to be a distinct lack of Sisu apologists on this thread. Surely there is some excuse, any excuse or someone else to blame?? I suggest blaming the sponsors... yep it woz them.

"should be out well before Christmas" I'm wondering if they missed a hyphen between "out" & "well"?

Personally TF...get your finger out - it should only take a couple of quick phone calls to get a charity printed on the shirt unless YOU are putting some pre-conditions in the way. And as some kind of statement of intent, & olive-branch to the people of Coventry - why not make it The Alan Edward Higgs Charity??? It's Coventry specific...get yourself some positive publicity for a change!!!

It could be Nikki Sinclaire.

In return she uses her political connections to pressure Coventry City Council - don't underestimate the political clout of Meriden residents or Katie Hopkins.

Breaking news

SISU are about to announce the charity that are going to be on our kit. They are going to make a right song and dance about it.

It's fun to stay in the YMCA

if a company is crazy enough to share their corporate image with shitsu by sponsoring the shirt can i suggest that the sponsor immediately becomes the next target for demonstrations.

I think you missed the positives here...we will have a new home kit just before Christmas or to put this into pespctive 4 months after the season has started!

True. It'll be surely on the wish list of all those kids who don't go to the games anymore. The merchandising wheelbarrow will be besieged!
