It boils down to what I've been pressing in recent posts.

Sure, the doctrine of communism in its basic form isn't inherently bad but the issue lies in how it has been applied historically.

However, just because a self-proclaimed communist denounces previous communist leaders that carried out atrocities doesn’t erase the fact that those regimes operated under the same banner.

And while it might be true that communists today probably won't align themselves with Stalin etc. you still can't feasibly defend the purity of an ideology if, time and again, the practice of said ideology produces an outcome of oppression, mass suffering, famine and authoritarian rule etc. etc. That is by definition whitewashing.

Its nothing new. For as long as I remember, the gaza strip has been on the news for in-fighting. Even when I was too young to watch, understand, or care for the news, I still remember it being on in the background and it would always include fighting in Gaza. I still to this day dont understand it (bar it being Muslim v Jews) nor do I give a shit. So why now, all of a sudden, it has become popular for singers to wave Palestine flags at festivals ill never know. Its fucking bizarre at best!

It just makes me laugh, when you see "gays for palestine", when in Palestine homosexuality is illegal and carries a prison sentence. And people that are clearly anti-Jew, calling others, a Nazi! Its some fucked up, backwards world we live in today! It really is!
