Like has been pointed out many times, the reaction from the left towards this shooting is disgusting and it has rattled a lot of people that are pretty moderate. Maybe what was previously a safe space to do that kind of thing isn't so much anymore, and who is surprised after what has been happening? This nature of smearing everyone that disagrees with you as MAGA, far-right, nazi etc has had catastrophic consequences.
Whilst some may argue the suspension is too far, I certainly am not a fan of cancelling people myself, I find it pretty baffling that many leftists are upset about this, and in some cases more upset about it than the fact a man actually got assassinated. This cancel culture and free speech war was entirely constructed by them, including people like Kimmel, and now the beast they created is coming back to haunt them, they can't take it. It's more hypocrisy.
Frankly, recent actions have ensured it has been a disastrous period of time for the left.
