Finding a club for him for the amount both the player and club would want is more difficult.I'm more surprised we're not linked with a CF. Lampard clearly didn't trust Simms in our biggest two games after a horrific run of form. I don't see what's changed and expected him gone, yet he appears to be in the plans again.
Coventry 'considering' record bid' after £7m deal 'rejected' for Charlie Hughes
Coventry City transfer news from CoventryLive as the Sky Blues are claimed to have made big money move for highly-rated Championship defenderwww.coventrytelegraph.net
The issue is moving on simms or BTA? Cant keep stockpiling CFs.I'm more surprised we're not linked with a CF. Lampard clearly didn't trust Simms in our biggest two games after a horrific run of form. I don't see what's changed and expected him gone, yet he appears to be in the plans again.
Have a sense that hull have given us a figure and a deal isnt too far awaySky Sports are currently reporting we have bid £7m, rejected and “it’s understood” we will be going back with an improved offer
Yep, if we were told that £20 million bollocks we wouldn't be considering going back would we.Have a sense that hull have given us a figure and a deal isnt too far away
They are surprisingly precise in saying 'beating the £7.7m the club paid for Haji Wright in August 2023'They say record bid - was Haji more? £9m?

Some Hull fans seem to think hes better than greaves and will definitely be in the prem at some pointHe's played 44 games in league one and 47 games in the championship. £7m+ is

Dangerous game to be throwing round those types of figures when it looks like we're keen to throw a substantial amount at this transfer. I could never see us spending £20m on him but 8 rising to 11/12 for a player they signed for 3.5 12 months ago would be hard to turn down for any club for a CB.
If they sell for less than £20m it erodes trust between the fans and the hierarch
The owner isn't that popular with Hull fans ,so I doubt if he would care too much about the fans .Dangerous game to be throwing round those types of figures when it looks like we're keen to throw a substantial amount at this transfer. I fear your right but we have to max out in our dealings IE MVE IF WE'RE GOING maintain a balance,we don't want to be blaze about things. This is where football is at and where it is going now, clubs spending bigger amounts on players, stretching payments over many years. Blackpool are about to sign someone for 1m, they are mid table league one! Derby and spending a lot all of a sudden. 10m in the grand scheme of things isn't big money.
maybe we’ve looked at Doyle but this lads just as good but quicker ? It’s what we needI dont see why we dont go after Doyle if we're willing to spend cash like that on a CB
€ I think with the add ons. They say record bid - was Haji more? £9m?

Apparently he's slower than Doylemaybe we’ve looked at Doyle but this lads just as good but quicker ? It’s what we need
If anything, I think it would be the opposite.Whilst Hull are under transfer embargo you would think they would snap our hand off
He looks more of defensive by the look of his stats.maybe we’ve looked at Doyle but this lads just as good but quicker ? It’s what we need

Maybe Lampard prefers Hughes. Could just be that simple.I dont see why we dont go after Doyle if we're willing to spend cash like that on a CB
Wage demands?I dont see why we dont go after Doyle if we're willing to spend cash like that on a CB
Isn't there an appeal later today or is that Sheffield? If anything, I think it would be the opposite.
if they can't bring anyone in, you wouldn't want to lose someone as you can't replace them?
Well rest assured I doubt Sheffield United will stump up that much. Whilst Hull are under transfer embargo you would think they would snap our hand off
