I'll be cringing if the whole ground was singing shit on the Villa, they don't give a fuck about us, there big rivals are and always were Blues and West Brom and maybe Wolves, I've never got this fascination of hating Aston Villa think it was because for a time we were the only sides from the West Midlands in the league

Blues and West Brom? Sixties Wolves without a doubt, seventies Leicester by a mile, eighties Leicester and Villa, nineties Villa, lately Sunderland. We havent got a real rival because we are seldom at the same level for long enough.
We always took a decent amount to West Brom and got some real thrashings on the pitch and seldom took many to Blues, in fact a week after taking 15000 plus to Wolves in the cup we had about 300 at St Andrews.

Me too. Scary times but wouldn't have missed them 0-2 Wolves 0-3 Blues. Another end of season collapse ensued.

I think Gordon Taylor the players union supremo might have scored a hat-trick that day.

I think there were about 50k at the Blues game (following on from the 50k at the Wolves game). As I remember it, there were thousands of City fans there. A lot of trouble too as there was not much segregation.

Score 3-0 to Birmingham City
Competition League Division One
Venue St Andrew's
Attendance 34,775

We were on the Kop, towards the current away end and there was a pocket of a few hundred who were being picked off from both sides. I remember it well because I got well and truly battered.
