Surely?

The wing bacl system hasnt worked for us for a while.

For me a Diamond Shape 4 1 2 1 2 when everyones fit

Dabo. Rose. Doyle. Bidwell
Sheaf
Hamer. Palmer
O'Hare
Godden. Gyokores

Dabo fine doing forward but isn’t a good enough defender at this level I’m afraid opposition exploit it all the time, hate saying if as he’s a favourite, if we go that way and he’s still here I can’t see any other than Todd Kane for now until the next window.

Nah, that defence makes me shudder.

What we need is a change of luck, cut out the goalkeeeping clangers its small margins.

Nothing wrong with how we are playing first 4 games.

Imo should have won all 4 without goalkeeping howlers and a bit of luck.

You are correct one point out of twelve is obviously worrying but Simon Moore has cost us possibly three away wins, I still look at that first Millwall goal with disbelief, it’s worse than a schoolboy error.

We could play 4-4-4 at the minute and still wouldn't win, formations ain't the problem, it's down to too many players being way out of form.

The form has been about 40 games now! You could see it as some players returning to their natural performance level…

Moore went shit half way through last season, Hamers form dipped, as did Dabbo's and Hyams, Kelly was always injured (we look better defensively when he plays) Allen got more game time instead of being sold, O'hare was shit in front of goal.

our younger players needed a rest which we couldn't cope with due to a lack of strength in depth, MR's use of subs was and remains shit, and other teams worked us out.

And here we are.

Or is it playing with two strikers? We seem to struggle to win the midfield when we play two up top

I think he'd like to but with O'Hare injured & Palmer unable to play full games yet we are a bit short in the 10 position.
As I said before the season began, Waghorn would be worth a shot there & I thought he did ok last night.

Waghorn looked sharp, as did Palmer when he came on

Good discussion point but feel we need to go back to basics first

We did hit the bar twice last night alongside giving away another comical goal. It has felt like all the little rubs of the green have gone to the opposition on top of the farce with Wasps

Think the prevailing shape this year is pearshaped.

I’ve been saying we should try 4 at the back for ages now. I believe we’ve only played it once since the start of last season and that was against Bristol City (H) for the second half after we went down to 10 men. We scored 3 in the 2nd half and won the game.

We are on an awful run in the league since the end of last season - why not try something new? Robins is so ridiculously set in his ways when it comes to formation/tactics/player selection. Sad to say but he’s out of his depth in the Championship.

I just think when we keep playing the same formation we must be easy to work out .Surely we need to start mixing it about ie 442 then wingback.

The two we hit the bar with go in we win the game. We have played worse and won before

What's happened to Tayo Adaramola, thought he would be straight in the team once he was up to speed.

Eccles and Bidwell nowhere near good or dynamic enough to play as wing backs

Yes and we've played teams off the park and lost we if you don't score you have no chance of winning and apart from one chance really for Bidwell last night we didn't look like scoring.

Bidwell was arguably our best player. People don’t half talk utter shit

Bidwell has played LWB in teams that qualified for the play offs on more than one question. You don't need a "dynamic" left wing back you need to improve the other parts of the pitch that should provide dynamism. I'm bored to death of reading clueless people imply he's the reason for our struggles when he's so obviously not.

Needs a change even if it’s only for a game or two to get the monkey off the back. If all fit I’d try the below. But for Norwich it’d be Tav or Waghorn at RF.

Moore

Dabo
Fadz
Rose or Panzo
Bidwell

Sheaf
Hamer
Palmer

COH (RF/free role)
Godden (ST)
Gyo (LF)

Can't be much worse than our defence now?

I don't really care who he's played for in the past, you're going back 2 years now.

Waghorn and Kane both played for teams who finished in the play offs or top 10 finishes in recent years and are crap as well.

Is he the reason for our struggles no, is he crap yep.

We will struggle to get rid of all three of them

And very disappointing about Adaramola. Was hoping he could at least be an adequate replacement for Maatsen this season
