3 points off 2nd with 3 to play. I'd be fuming if one of our lads had said this.

What a weak as piss mindset.

It’s pretty obvious that Hellberg has lost his head and the players have picked up on that.

It will be interesting to see what they do in the summer. With Tottenham/West Ham/Forest most likely to come down with Wolves and Burnley the league is looking potentially v competitive.

Aside from the relegated teams, you have Sheff U still on parachute payments as well as one (or both) of Ipswich/Southampton. So up to 6 parachute teams as well as Birmingham and Wrexham who will presumably carry on spending big. I also wouldn’t discount Norwich/Derby building on strong seasons.

We picked a v good year to go up.

Hackney would certainly be sold and the proceeds need to be used to replace him and then significantly upgrade in attack, probably in goal too. I would bid for Simms and Dovin if I were them.

Just been watching Crystal Palarse and the Hammers! What a pile of dog shit. We could beat both of these teams with our current squad.I think FL and the backroom will do well next season! Won't pull up many trees but a steady intake of points to keep our heads above water😁😉👍

Couldn’t have picked a better season to get promoted, we’d of def struggled to do it next season, looks like only burnley out the 3 promoted teams coming back down , wolves just joined them, then it’s one from spurs West Ham and forest, championship next season is going to be even more brutal,

Gonna be carnage next season, potentially 4 or even 5 parachute teams and the american soccer teams desperate to piss away more money, just getting into play offs would be miraculous

Any two from them plus Hull basically, Southampton in particular we could do without.

Not been convinced by Ipswich actually so I wouldn’t be toooooo concerned if they went up.
The problem with Ipswich is they already have some good players and they would spend again. I think their problem is McKenna isn't as good as he thinks he is.

The parachute payments for Sheffield United have now finished. They only stayed up for one season so only get two years of payments.

If Southampton and Ipswich go up and Leicester go down the only parachute payments would be to those going down this season. Tottenham would need to sell and start again. Their £1B squad would struggle in the Championship. They're not even good at passing the ball.

Yes there will be what should be strong sides coming down, but would any of them do a Leicester?

I'm not so sure. It isn't how much money you spend but how you spend it. Wrexham for example gave us £6.5m for Sheaf to keep their medical team busy for half the year. We have added about £1.5m to this and have now signed Onyeka. You can't buy your way out of the Championship because of the financial restrictions.

Yes I agree there's a good chance it will be brutal next season in the Championship. But you also have to consider other things like the managers they have. Look at Southampton. It was quite obvious Still wasn't the manager to take them back up. They changed managers and are now romping away to the end of the season. Leicester have single players that cost what our squad did yet have gone out with a whimper.

Yeah I'd said similar on another thread. And don't forget it's 6 teams in the playoffs from next year!

Very very good timing indeed.

Double whammy tonight, City to win the league with a win and Leicester to be relegated if they fail to beat play off chasing Hull, what a time to be alive

Sheff U won't receive parachute payments next season.

Do Leicester need to win tonight else they are confirmed down?

Yep and even if they win if West Brom don’t lose tonight and Blackburn don’t lose tomorrow they’re down anyway.
