Congratulations Coventry - Fully deserved.

Play offs it is for us - just. Auto's is gone now and we will be 5th after Southampton win tonight. Confidence is beyond low but we have 4 games left, its about trying to find some sort of form and getting players back from injury.

Been a real disappointing period and despite the stats, the performances have began to dip.

Time to gets sucked into the Play Off hype, ffs.

Roll on Tottenham and Lincoln
I wouldn't give up yet, there are still 12 points to play for. You will need to beat Ipswich to have any chance, but I have seen lots of surprise results in the last few games of the season in my lifetime.
Those 3 away games in 6 days for Ipswich look brutal.

I dunno I've got a sneaky feeling that Pompey will frustrate Ipswich tonight.

I'm not sure what's best in the other game. On the one hand I don't want Soton thinking they can muscle in on the top 2 late on but equally I don't want Blackburn getting any notion they might beat us on Friday
Ideally a violent 0-0 draw with 8 red cards each would be nice 🙂
To be fair on Southampton even if they win all their games. They can only finish on 84 points. Putting them below us.

Don’t think we need to worry about Southampton vs Blackburn. Either result doesn’t impact us as ultimately if we do our bit, we should be too much for them anyway

Not saying they'll do it, but that is a struggling Boro side and a Southampton side who will have nothing to play for and have that game 3 days after chasing Man City around Wembley.
At this stage we can't say for certain Southampton will have nothing to play for when they play Ipswich.
If Ipswich lose just 1 of the next 4, when they play Southampton Ipswich won't be guaranteed 2nd. They could lose to Soton and QPR on the last day and end up on 84, then it could be down to GD, currently Ipswich are +11 on Soton.
Obviously Southampton would need to win all their games

Due to Wrexham's last couple of games, no. It would take a huge swing even by our standards to miss out now - 8 points clear with 12 to play for. Mine we are away to Wrexham last game, so lets hope nothing is riding on it from our point of view.
We will sort them out for you on the penultimate game Kris

Good luck in playoffs would have preferred Boro 2nd and Millwall winning playoffs.Keep them parachute teams down.

Ipswich will beat Portsmouth tonight easy.We will regret that awful performance Saturday as if we don't pick up performances I can see them beating us to the title, that would be fucking terrible considering how long we have been top for.
They may well win tonight, but I am not so certain it's going to be easy. Despite their win at Boro, Portsmouth are still desperate for points. They are just 1 point above the drop zone with a worse goal difference than Oxford.

Wouldn't be at all surprised if it turned out to be a draw this evening.

Could even see Pompey winning. Ipswich have been getting a fair bit of luck lately.

Nothing is a given in this league. Sheff Weds are a testament to that

Boro could beat Ipswich then they play Wednesday. Gets them back in the autos contention. Likewise Saints are on such a good run they could sneak second too.

What makes you think a team who've drawn 3 of their last 6 will win 6 on the spin?
We L3, W2, D1 in 6 then went on to win 6 on the spin
I mean, if you go further than that, we lost 5 in 9 (if you include Stoke in the FA Cup) before winning 6 on the spin!

*edit, this isnt me saying I think they'll win 6 on the spin, but your reasoning for why they can't/won't is a bit flawed as we've already shown this season.

But what makes anyone think they'll do it? Their best run all season is 3 on the spin.

Its football, anything can happen. The entire football world (including many on here) said we'd bottled it after our shit run. Like I said, lost 3 in 6 (worse than them drawing 3 in 6) and losing 5 in 9. We still managed to go on and win 6. Including against a very in-form (at the time) Boro and our hoodoo in PNE.

They've got the biggest, most expensive, and possibly the best squad in the league, there is no reason they cant do 6 on the spin. Even after "drawing 3 in 6" previously. Its not very likely, but its also not impossible.

No it's not likely, but as you say, not impossible.
You also have to remember that even if they win all 6, it wont be enough if we take care of business.

The referees they seem to give them every decision.

Tonights 2 games are the key to Southampton chances of finishing 2nd.A win for them and Portsmouth do the job.Pressure is heaped on Ipswich in their big game on Saturday. Then Ipswich have 3 away games could well be many twists and turns before the end of the season. We'll just sit on the top and watch.
Enjoy the ride.
