Having watched the Southampton game last night - I know they whacked Disney but I thought Disney played quite well and had chances that they just didn’t finish 😳

Hellberg surely nailed on for manager of the season
He is also in the running for average manager of the year. They are where they were when he took over. Should also be in for the threw it all away manager of the year.

Their supporters have been awarded deluded supporters of the year for thinking they were going to be Champions after going top for a game and thinking they would beat us to go 5 points clear.

Yeah, Southampton thoroughly deserved their victory, but in the second half at 2-1 down, Wrexham had started to get on top and looked the most likely to grab the next goal.

I think then there was a mistake by a Wrexham player, giving the ball away, that enabled the Saints to break away from and score.

After that, it was all Southampton again.

Sometimes little moments define matches. Happens so often.

It was the same for us against Ipswich here. Ipswich were clearly the better side, but we should have had a penalty, when Wright was clearly fouled. Had that have been given and we had scored, there is every possibility we would then have gone on to win that game.

Both Southampton and Ipswich can wobble at times.

I’ve felt that a lot of times this season we could quite easily have been behind in games that we’ve then gone on to win…often quite comfortably. I think it’s the Watford game that is standing out for me now.
So I’ve often had this sense that we’ve been lucky, coupled with looking at the league table and thinking “you can’t put where we are down to luck”.

I think there’s another thread about ‘sliding door’ moments. I dunno if this qualifies as such but I’ve also thought, have we been lucky with when we’ve played certain teams. Unanswerable wonderings I guess.

I would argue Ipswich were fortunate to play us twice in a month where we had superflu running through the team.

Ipswich were very lucky full stop.
At their place Hurst had to go, ref bottled it , he goes on to grab their second
At ours, and I'll admit we got our tactics wrong and they were much better, at 0-0 stonewall penalty on Haji , 1-0, much different outlook so they were lucky again.
Add to the great number of other 'decisions' going their way i think they've been fortunate all season

The difference in how many (me included) on here think about Ipswich and how lucky they’ve been, and seemingly Ipswich fans perceptions of things seems to show that a lot of fans at every club might have similar (but opposing) thoughts.

Most supporters seem to say about the luck Ipswich get and how the refs keep bottling it against them. Last game there was a goal disallowed that was perfectly good.

It's as though their own supporters are looking for a reason they haven't walked away with the title as expected.

Managed to actually steal 3 points off Blackburn too.
Yet apparently they get the bad decisions all season.
Delusional

They may have had some fortunate decisions but the game had to be replayed

No other club gained a bonus point from a fixture being postponed with under 10 minutes remaining. That point is looking pretty important now.

We create our own luck.

There's a lot more to it than just spending money.
They don't seem to have any strategy whatsoever.
Whether people agree with it or not, Wrexham seem to have a certain profile of player they sign, blues just seem to throw money at anything that moves.

They've signed some utter dog wash.

The Rome that significantly overstretched, invested badly then crumbled and was pillaged by competitors? Remember that tablet that they wrote before Teutoburg (away)?

'Dear Germanic Tribes, we are not the same legions that left Clades Lolliana in 16BC. Mark my words, we are a very different club. You're not ready for what's coming. Bookmark me.'

Look at the state of their stadium these days FFS, no roof, only one big stand and doesn't even have any chimneys:

All they will do is ruin the championship by over inflating the transfer market for everyone else until it goes pop.
typical yank globalist that thinks you can buy what ever you want and fck all the other lesser mortals.
I hope they stay down and go bust because every time the yank businessman have tried to take over the game its gone tits up
