Hard to overstate how obliging all our rivals have been lately. The vast majority of their results for at least a month have gone exactly as I would have chosen.

Happened in 22/23 on the run in to the play offs.
To be fair, we had 20 years of almost every single fucking thing going against us so about time we got the rubof the green

It's a possible at least. If he's the final.piece in the jigsaw that gets us up, which he'd certainly be as things stand, he'd be worth it. Not as hot and cold as Armstrong either.

Plus we could be in line for more cash too, though not guaranteed. If the strong rumours are true about Rogers leaving Villa (obviously not nailed on yet) we'd be due another 12.5M from that. Scrape our way to Wembley but lose and that's another 4M. Plus what we could offload the likes of Edmundson, Gilbert, Sene and a few others, not for that much each, but put together that's another chunk of cash.

Granted we'd probably have to spend about 8M of it on Hackney's replacement, but other than that we don't need that many new players as a few more will be back from the long term treatment table over summer.

Think only Ipswich and Forest have actually bid. Ipswich in the summer, Forest in Jan.
