Middlesbrough are paying the price for not bringing in a good striker. I think Ipswich will get 2nd, but like you say it could all go wrong for them. 4 games in 9 days with the last 3 being away? Also had a little flutter on Millwall at 10/1.

This is going to be an enjoyable end of season. Another 6 points should be enough for us to go up as champions and those below us will be in a proper bloodbath.
yep. I was reading on their end - they openly stated We needed a CM and got Onyeka, they needed a striker and didn't get anyone. I also think Middlesbrough suffer from our past issues - inability to break down a counter attacking low block team. we laid the blueprint on how to beat them.

I think Ipswich come second aswell. I keep having them win 6 out of 8 games, which i can't see middlesbrough or Millwall matching. I also think Wrexham v Southampton will be the play off final .

Can't see Ipswich having a run that good.
2 very tricky away games in Norwich and Southampton and a very busy April overall.

I agree. Boro might be stuttering but I still think they've got enough about them to retain second spot.

funnily enough they're the two games i have them dropping points. Its also why i'm not worried at them. Yes - i have them winning 6/8 but then i say to myself, they're not that good. 5 points at worse from Sheff Wed, Derby and Hull and we'll be promoted.

Yeah, I think they drop points more points along the way. It's a shame that the Southampton game has been rearranged where they will be safe in the play offs and likely on the beach. It should have been Friday and I think they lose that.

I think Millwall have a better chance than Boro for autos.

Millwall definitely have the better run on in paper. I think if there's a winner in the Millwall v Boro game, that team take second. But on paper you have to fancy Millwall

It's the run of games Ipswich have that's a big problem for them. 4 games in 9 days at the end of a very long hard season. In their last 4 games they beat Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 and drew the other 3 against Millwall, Stoke and Leicester. Stoke and Leicester are in free fall. They were at home to Millwall and were lucky in the end to get a point.

It's the poor form of Ipswich and Middlesborough that's handed us the title. I think Philogene will still be out as they tried bringing him back too early from a knee injury mid February. Him coming back for them will be a game changer.

Is he that good? That much better than Mehmeti or Clarke?

Would prefer a millwall win to be honest if there is a winner
Millwall win all the way. It would put them in 2nd as Ipswich don't have a game on Friday. They need 4 more wins than us from 7 games. Ipswich need 4 more wins from 8 games. Would be delighted for Millwall to put even more pressure on Ipswich and Middlesborough

That's like saying is EMC that good as we have Wright and Onyeka. They al have a part to play and he played 29 games this season before the injury.

Mehmeti has 10 gals at 305 minutes per goal. Philogene has 9 goals at 177 minutes per goal. IMHO Clarke is their best player.

I fancy Millwall for autos out of the three as well.

Away form is an issue for Ipswich and they still have 5 away fixtures to play. Couple that with fixture congestion and I can see them falling off the pace.

When Boro came to us, I thought they were lacking, both defensively and in attack (Whittaker is not consistent and Conway is nowhere near the level). The were too reliant on a good midfield who's quality had dropped off even before Hackney got injured.

Of the 3, Milwall are in the better form at the moment and are more consistent than the other 2. They have kinder fixtures on paper and if they continue to do what they were doing before the international break, I can see them slowly accumulating points whilst Ipswich and Boro drop them.

I would love it if Boro managed to get up by the POs (just for the 6 guarenteed Prem-points next year) but I can see it being an Ipswich / Southampton PO Final and at which point its a 50/50 on who goes up.

Aren’t they all wingers? Which is why I was asking.

I saw him when he was a kid playing for Cardiff. He looked talented. Haven’t seen too much of him since…although looked decent at the start of the season.

The Ipswich 4 games in 9 is no worse really than Southampton who have 4 in 10 days

I get where you're coming from. Every predictor i have done has them within 3 points of 2nd.

They're very much hitting form at the right time, and if Middlesbrough continue to shit the bed, and Ipswich get bogged down (Like Rotherham in the Covid championship season) it comes down to getting past Millwall .

Its not likely but it isn't out of the question

They're not hitting form, they have hit form some weeks ago which increases the likelihood, based on the law of averages, that the form will not be sustained.

as a winger given he has only played 8 games as a striker and well over 100 on the wings

Could never get my head around them bringing in Philogene when they already had Clarke tbh. Philogene is a better player but surely it was worth them improving pretty much any other position ahead of LW.
