I don't know.

For me personally? Start with nation states where it's illegal to be gay are out. Business people who are pumping millions in a US regime that is dismantling the mechanisms of democracy are also a personal no-no.

Fwiw, football support is an ingrained thing; I make no moral judgement on supporters who go with the flow regarding owners like these. Newcastle fans openly welcoming the Saudis was gross, but I didn't expect them to stop going to watch Newcastle United because of them.

I don't know exactly how my relationship with the club would change in the event of owners I'd object to, but it would definitely be affected.
How would you feel if Ryan Reynolds bought cov? Would you still be supporting us ?

Newcastle fans welcoming the Saudis was gross, (their team have flown on the plane that was used to transport the Jamal Khashoggi hit squad FFS!).

But no more gross that every government in this country since the 50s being balls deep with them.

I just don't think football should be expected to be some moral paragon when the establishment isn't bothered about leading by example

I think I want Watford to lose this one. That’s because we play them at their place on the last day of the season and I don’t want them still to be in contention for a playoff place.

Hopefully we should be be up by then but, as things presently stand, it’s not absolutely guaranteed.

But it’s his money, he keeps funding it but doesn’t breach FFP, two different things, it allows them to spend at the upper end of the losses allowed compared to an owner like Doug who may want break even annually And therefore an advantage but no rules broken, just fortunate fans

Which is the same as Wrexham - and of course ourselves

They will be nowhere near a play off place on the last day.

We still have Wrexham to play too

Is he turning us into a media circus with a tv documentary?

I don't want that.

Would I still support us in this hypothetical scenario? Yes. Would I start to feel that the club was no longer one I felt a part of and begin to lose interest? Possibly, who knows.

I have no moral objection to Wrexham's owners at all, however, I will always root against a financially doped club, and dislike fawning media circuses generally.

Oh, agreed.

The country's relationship with that hideous regime sickens me far more than Newcastle United's.

Playing Wrexham penultimate too mind you. Hopefully neither have anything to play for in those games.

Our last owners turned us into an actual circus, I know which one I'd prefer.

Did anybody see people being interviewed at a Wrexham game about who they would support if they didn't support Wrexham. I think only one said it's only Wrexham, the others all had other teams 🤣
